Bombshell: New Cellphone Footage Shows What Really Happened in ICE Shooting

Yes, I'm back writing, and just in time for a bomb to go off in the middle of the controversy surrounding an ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis. New cellphone footage taken by the officer who fired the shots provides the best look yet at what happened, and it counters much of the narrative spreading in the mainstream press and on the broader left that this was an unjustified "murder."

As RedState reported, a woman was shot and killed after she drove her SUV into the middle of the agents in an attempt to impede an immigration raid. After ignoring orders for three minutes, she was commanded to stop. At that point, she reversed her vehicle, placing an officer who was formerly to her right in front of her. When another officer tried to grab her door handle, she put the SUV in drive and hit the gas. The officer in front of her drew his weapon and shot into the front windshield while being struck. He then fired two more shots.

Many claims have been made in the aftermath, including that the woman was unwittingly caught in the midst of the situation, became scared, and panicked. The cellphone video tells a very different story, though.

Recall that The New York Times actually put out a "forensic analysis" claiming the officer who fired the shots was not hit at all. While that wouldn't be relevant to the legal question of whether he felt his life was threatened when the car lunged toward him, it was still an astonishing claim, given that their "investigation" showed nothing that proved that definitively. This latest perspective shows that the claim is completely false, though. You not only see the car hit the officer, but you hear it.

Another claim that has been circulating to the point of almost becoming conventional wisdom is that the woman was distracted by the officer to her side and didn't see the officer in front of her. That, too, has now been proven false. She is seen laughing throughout the video and looks straight at the officer in front of her multiple times before putting her SUV in drive and hammering the gas.

Did she think she was going to miss the officer who fired the shots? That's still a possibility, but again, it would be irrelevant to whether this was a justified shooting. The officer could not know at the time where the car would end up, as it came at him and hit him. He is not required to wait and see if he gets seriously injured or killed before reacting.

Clearly, though, this was not a situation where a bystander was caught in the fray and panicked. These were two women, including the driver, who were purposely taunting ICE agents while obstructing their official duties. They were ignoring commands, laughing, and ultimately, this tragedy unfolded due to what looks like their rank arrogance and lawlessness.

With that said, a lot of press outlets and talking heads have some corrections to make.
