We reported Thursday morning on how the leftist outrage mobs predictably sprung into action after Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker's Benedictine College commencement address where he talked about traditional values from a Catholic perspective, tore into Joe Biden on the abortion issue, and had some very pointed things to say about woke/LGBTQ culture.
To quickly recap, the mob has started a Change.org petition calling on Butker, who is staunchly pro-life, to be fired from the Chiefs for the crime of sharing the allegedly "dehumanizing" Catholic message with Catholic students at a Catholic college. As of this writing, the petition has 150,000 signatures.

The official Twitter account for Kansas City joined in on the action, too, as we also noted, tweeting and then deleting a post that referenced the city in which Butker and his young family live:

In an update to this story, even though Mayor Quinton Lucas has apologized and said he would take corrective action, the city has landed itself in hot water with Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, who minced no words in his pledge to "demand accountability" from Kansas City officials over potential human rights/First Amendment violations:

The tweet prompted immediate reactions from Missourians who wrote things like "love my state" and others like Dhillon Law Firm partner and RNC National Committeewoman from California Harmeet Dhillon calling on Bailey to "drag" Kansas City over the tweet.
In a later statement released to the media, Bailey elaborated on his position and announced that he was calling on the mayor to provide any communications related to the tweet:
“Missourians of faith deserve to know why Kansas City officials decided to attack Mr. Butker for his deeply held religious beliefs,” said Attorney General Bailey in a statement. “My office will not tolerate religious discrimination from City officials. I will enforce the Missouri Human Rights Act to ensure Missourians are not targeted for their free exercise of religion. The mayor needs to immediately turn over his office’s communications relating to this post.”
While there was debate on social media as to whether Butker was actually "doxxed" considering there are articles from earlier this year on properties he (and other members of the Chiefs organization) owns, the real issue here is what appeared to be an intent to intimidate Butker into silence and punish him for his views from an official city account.
I'm not a legal expert, so I'll leave that to those with the appropriate creds, but it's good to see Bailey taking a stand on this issue and sending a strong signal to any other city or state entity that such actions will not be tolerated.
