As RedState reported earlier, Joe Biden gave his handlers nightmares Wednesday morning when he decided to interact with the press on the White House lawn shortly before heading off on a flight to Chicago.
For instance, when one reporter asked Biden about the 2017 WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden where he claimed in an attempted shakedown of a Chinese businessman that his powerful dad was sitting next to him and that they would retaliate if they weren’t paid immediately, Joe Biden angrily denied any involvement by defensively yelling “no!” at the reporter.
At another point, Biden further embarrassed himself by telling another journalist that Russian President Vladimir Putin was “clearly losing the war in Iraq,” an erroneous claim he also made at a fundraiser the night before.
Axios correspondent Alex Thompson pointed out that the “Iraq” flub from the fundraiser was not mentioned in the pool report for some reason:
wasn’t in the pool report last night but Biden made the same flub at a fundraiser as well. https://t.co/j2MZv2MFP0

Why would that piece of information, that the President of the United States made a big goof in discussing the Russia/Ukraine war, be omitted from the pool report?
Perhaps even more troubling was how the press acted when the question about the Hunter Biden message was asked. Watch below as reporters only briefly paused to hear the question being asked before they began talking loudly over Biden’s short answer to the question as if they didn’t find the question legitimate and worth asking:

And in yet another instance of a member of the media seeming to run interference for Joe Biden, check out what Bloomberg News reporter Jenny Leonard wrote about Biden’s remarks on the Russia/Ukraine conflict:
“I know he is,” Biden told reporters at the White House Wednesday when asked whether Putin is weaker today. “It’s hard to tell, but he is clearly losing the war,” Biden added. “He’s losing the war at home, and he has become a bit of a pariah around the world.” pic.twitter.com/iaRceC2dQp

Notice anything missing? Yeah, she left out the part about Biden saying “Iraq.”
You know, it’s bad enough that we have members of the media who have cleaned up some quotes from Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) to make him sound coherent, without admitting until called out that the quotes they ran with were provided directly by Fetterman’s handlers themselves.
But it’s another thing altogether when they appear to team up to prevent the POTUS from having to answer an uncomfortable question and one which many people in this country want to be answered. Further, altering his words in order to present him in a more flattering light is not only not a good look, but it’s also a dereliction of duty from a journalistic standpoint.
In fact, I see no difference in what the press did here and how some of them routinely made up quotes about then-President Donald Trump, false quotes that turned something routine and mundane he said into something sinister and concerning.
We don’t need Biden’s words or actions sanitized from view, especially not from people who claim to be objective, neutral observers who purportedly are there merely to report on White House goings on. The people are owed the unvarnished truth about Biden, as inconvenient as that may be for his supporters and those closest to him, including the left-wing press corps.
And any media figure who doesn’t get that should probably look for another line of work, either as a CNN “analyst” or a member of Joe Biden’s comms team. It’s just as simple as that.
