The Perfect Suggestion Is Made After Novak Djokovic Misses US Open Over Vaccine Travel Restrictions

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic, who is currently ranked 6th in the ATP World Rankings (after a record 373 weeks at the top spot) and who has seven Wimbledon titles and 21 Grand Slams under his belt, announced Thursday that he would “not be able to travel” to the United States for this month’s US Open tournament, which is being held in New York:

The reason for this, of course, is because of the United States’ travel restrictions against visitors who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Djokovic, as we’ve previously reported, has faced backlash worldwide over his decision not to get the vaccine, including in countries like Australia, which saw dictator Prime Minister Scott Morrison beclown himself back in January over the dust-up surrounding whether or not Djokovic had a “medical exemption” to play in the Australian Open.

Djokovic having to miss tournament opportunities in various countries due to him standing his ground on his decision not to get vaccinated has also earned him a lot of support from people who oppose vaccine mandates including those who support getting vaccinated but who don’t like the government putting in place “or else” directives.

That being said, after Djokovic made his announcement, the perfect suggestion was made, one that conceivably could get him in the country straightaway free and clear without him having to get the jab:

I mean, this would make sense, right? After all, vaccines are recommended but not mandated for migrants who come across the southern border, so Djokovic would probably have better luck getting into the country via the Texas border than he could at a New York airport.

Sounds crazy, doesn’t it?

And think about this, too: If he played his cards right, he could get a free ride to New York, courtesy of Gov. Greg Abbott, who back in April announced a policy authorizing the busing of illegal immigrants dumped in his state by the Biden administration to New York, and then later Washington, D.C.

It’s crazy that we’re this far now into the pandemic and people outside of illegal immigrants still can’t get into this country if they either can’t prove their vaccination status or refuse to get it. I wonder if this applies to diplomats as well as sports figures?

I mean, Joe Biden, Jill Biden and Dr. Fauci all got COVID even though they received four doses of the vaccine, and Joe and Jill got rebound cases. So from that standpoint and even with what the CDC says about the jab lessening your chances of a severe case it’s even more understandable that people like Djokovic are like “What’s the point?”
