Joe Biden has COVID. Still.
He is twice vaccinated and twice boosted and wears a mask often, and he has COVID. I don’t find it too concerning. Even at his age, COVID survival rates are hovering somewhere around the 97th percentile. He has access to the best care in the world. He’ll be fine. The problem is that we’re still embroiled in an argument over mandates. I’m always for liberty, above all else. Some people think forcing mask mandates is just for the greater good. I believe preserving your liberty to make your own health decisions is for the greater good.
That being said, if this vaccine proved to be the kill shot in eliminating COVID, I could at least grasp the notion of mandates. I’m no rocket surgeon, but a vaccine that requires four shots in twelve months and still doesn’t prevent sickness is, at worst, useless, and at best, not a viable reason to threaten the jobs and schooling of healthy Americans who choose not to get it.
It’s time to move on.
