It has often been said that if the left didn’t have double standards then they’d have no standards at all, and that was definitely the case during the “climate change” speech President Joe Biden gave Wednesday at the Brayton Point Power Station in Somerset, Massachusetts.

As we previously reported, the speech was – as per the norm for Biden – a hot mess, with him bizarrely proclaiming at one point that he “has cancer” and that he got it as a child from his mother’s oil-slicked windshield or something as she drove him to school. His remarks were confusingly “cleaned up” after the fact by his exhausted and likely underpaid handlers, who tried to suggest what he was actually talking about were the cancerous moles he’d previously had removed.

But what wasn’t widely reported or shown on the nightly news broadcasts was the dramatic entrance Biden and his entourage made en route to the power station, where they lectured others on the supposedly immediate “need” to address the “climate crisis” with billions in your tax dollars.

The image included in this article – which shows green energy fanatics including U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry and Sen. Elizabeth Warren in attendance – gives a rather large hint, but the incredible visual presented in the below video clip really rams home the point:

For those who may not be aware, presidential motorcades consist of multiple vehicles, usually in the double digits depending on how many are traveling with the POTUS at any given time. So it’s not just a few gas-guzzlers that surround the President and his traveling companions; it’s a full-fledged fleet of them.

Now, to be fair, these super-powered vehicles exist to protect the president from harm, which no one has an issue with. What people do have problems with, however, are so-called “leaders” who on one hand tell people they have to make sacrifices in order to protect the climate or whatever but who don’t demonstrate a willingness to do the same themselves.

How could Biden have demonstrated this? By holding a virtual summit from his fake White House stage in Washington, D.C. No traveling whatsoever would have been involved, and he could have gotten his same points across, lies and all. But as we all know at this point about Democrats, it’s all about the optics of appearing to “do something” when in actuality they are doing nothing whatsoever beyond virtue signaling about what good stewards of the environment they purportedly are – while taxpayers get put on the hook for the tab.

I should also point out that this is not the first time Joe Biden has used a monstrous motorcade to whisk him away to talk about climate change:

President Biden on Friday cruised through Rome with an 85-vehicle motorcade — drawing criticism for the poor optics ahead of a global warming summit in Glasgow, Scotland, to which Biden is bringing about a dozen top US officials.

“Biden arriving at the Vatican. His motorcade is lonnnnnng,” tweeted Washington Post reporter Chico Harlan, along with a video of the procession.

“#Decarbonize this,” one person captioned the video.

“America’s Marie Antoinette class is Washington’s elites – and that shows it,” another person responded.

Hmm, didn’t see any Biden-touted electric vehicles in that one, either. Total shocker.

“Rules for thee, not for me.” Instead of “COEXIST” and “Love is Love,” Democrats should put that one on a bumper sticker because it’s far more fitting.
