Though there are some Republicans out there who make it a point to encourage people to wear masks when they’re going out shopping or plan on being in close proximity indoors with others in similar situations, by and large Democrats have been the loudest ones banging the drum, sometimes playing name and shame games, to get people to do what they say is “the right thing” by wearing their masks.
Some of them, like California Gov. Gavin Newsom and San Francisco Mayor London Breed have taken it a step further, using their powers to implement strict health mandates on their state and city respectively, only to be exposed later as yet two more on a long list of “what’s good for thee is not for me” hypocritical Democrat politicians who have reared their ugly heads and shown us beyond a shadow of a doubt who they really are during the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic over the last 18 months.
Apparently, because of the recent controversy surrounding Breed being caught maskless while partying with friends indoors at a local jazz club, some sneaky (but no doubt well-meaning) person in Washington, D.C. decided to pay homage to something Breed said when making excuses for what she did by handwriting an important, and what I believe to be a chef’s kiss perfect update to the “Mask Required” sign that is posted in the Cannon House Office Building.
Here’s how the sign reads now:

For those who missed it, among other bizarre things she told reporters when trying to defend herself, Breed said that “I got up and started dancing because I was feeling the spirit and I wasn’t thinking about a mask.”
Apparently, House Democrats, some of who are now greeted with the updated sign when they walk into their office building, are really “feeling the spirit,” judging by how often they take theirs off and on, especially when the cameras are rolling and they want to make it appear as though they are setting a good example for others:
Watching the Democrats’ presser & am intrigued by their habit of removing masks upon stepping in front of the camera. Somehow their lectern is a magical Covid-free zone. #Science pic.twitter.com/UDF0qfHYUi

And then there was Rep. Pramila Jayapal and everyone in the room with her in the video below, likely including Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who has also been recently caught not practicing what she preaches about masks:
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), celebrated her birthday maskless last night and blew out candles on her cake, according to video from Rep. Tlaib.
Jayapal has said those who don’t wear masks are behaving “cruelly” and called for fines to be issued to unmasked members of Congress. pic.twitter.com/F1XvwjlX3p

Don’t like being nitpicked over the times you don’t wear your mask? Fine. Then don’t advocate for or mandate rules about them that you don’t plan on following but expect others to. It really is just that simple.
