There are few former Obama-Biden administration officials who do the “open mouth, insert foot” thing as well as Ben Rhodes, who is also known as a member of the Obama Bros glory hound quartet which also includes Tommy Vietor, Jon Lovett, and Dan Pfeiffer.

Rhodes, a former national security adviser, has been a frequent critic of President Trump’s foreign policy decisions, particularly as it relates to the Middle East. Outside of pure Trump hatred, the only other reason for his routine criticisms of Trump’s dealings with other countries is to try and make himself and his “achievements” look good via comparison, which quite frankly is not humanly possible even under the most charitable of circumstances.

The reason it’s not humanly possible is because, among other things, Rhodes was the lead spinmeister behind the Obama administration’s “Iran deal”, which was an epic failure.

“President Obama’s disastrous nuclear deal with Iran was sweetened with an illicit ransom payment and billions of dollars for the world’s foremost state sponsor of terrorism,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) noted at the time.

Though there have been numerous instances of Rhodes demonstrating a complete lack of self-awareness on this front, perhaps no other perfectly demonstrates it than the dunk Rhodes attempted on President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner today upon news reports of a trip Kushner will be taking to Saudi Arabia and Qatar this week along with advisers to White House:

Rhodes’ response was to suggest Kushner was headed overseas to collect the “back-end payoff” for alleged services rendered or whatever:
