Bernie Moreno Releases Graphic Photos of Cincinnati Attack Victim After Councilwoman's Disgusting Comment

Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) has released graphic photos of the victim of a violent attack in Cincinnati after a local city councilwoman claimed she "begged for that beatdown." In a social media post, Moreno went on to point out that the local prosecutor let the assailants out on just $400 bond. He also hit Rep. Greg Landsman, a House Democrat who represents the area, for "posting about Ukraine" while remaining silent on the incident.

The victim, who is being referred to only by her first name at this time, was downtown during the annual Jazz Festival to attend a birthday party. After an altercation between a man and a group of other men, Holly was sucker punched, leaving her incapacitated on the ground and bleeding from the head and mouth.

In the aftermath of the attack, city officials have been defiant, even blaming those who were beaten by the mob. Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge stated on Monday that videos were being "distorted" and taken out of context. When pressed about what exactly had been distorted, she refused to say.

Given all of that, Holly seemed compelled to release the photos of her injuries through Moreno.

Call me old-fashioned, but I simply can't fathom what kind of man would, for any reason, hit a woman, much less beat her to a pulp. Certainly, given that there is no evidence she did anything to physically initiate the attack, letting the men who attacked her out on a few hundred dollars bail strikes me as insane. Unfortunately, that's all too common in Democrat-led cities, where "criminal justice reform" has manifested in simply not punishing criminals for criminality.

Regarding the city councilwoman who said Holly was "begging for that beatdown," her name is Victoria Parks.

Because Holly is white and the attackers are black, racial undertones have emerged in the case. Parks seems to be playing into that, defending violence against a woman in the name of some kind of racial solidarity. Again, it's a mindset I won't ever understand. What happened to just caring about people because they are people? Especially a woman who was sucker punched without touching anyone.

Unless some evidence comes out that this attack was racially motivated, I think that angle is mostly a distraction. It lets the usual suspects run to their respective corners while not addressing the real problem of rampant crime in Democrat-led cities like Cincinnati. With people like Parks in charge, it's not surprising that things have gotten this bad.
