Today is former President Bill Clinton’s birthday. He’s 74.

Former Secretary of State and failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton took to the Twitter machine to urge her followers to “join” her in wishing “this young man a happy birthday”:

But there was something off about the tweet, which a lot of people pointed out not long after she posted it this morning.

It wasn’t getting any replies at all, even though it was steadily racking up retweets.

In fact, despite her tweet having nearly 4,700 retweets as of this writing, it only has a whopping total of 7 replies. Just seven.

The reason there are so few replies is because in her tweet requesting people tell Bill Clinton “happy birthday”, she actually limited who can reply:

Hmmm. I wonder why she would do this? Well, no I don’t really wonder. I think the reasons why are pretty obvious.

Maybe it’s because on the same day (yesterday) Bill Clinton gave his DNC speech in support of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, photos surfaced of Clinton getting a neck massage by one of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged victims during a 2002 flight the former president has denied taking.

Or maybe it’s because Bill Clinton is taking a lot of heat from people – including some from his own circle – about how maybe he’s not exactly the type of person who should be lecturing President Trump about how to conduct himself in the Oval Office.

In spite of my obvious dislike of the Clintons, I have no issues with calls from his loved ones and supporters to wish him a happy birthday. But I do find it very odd that one would use a very public social media platform to request people “join” her in doing so, only to limit who can immediately respond in the comments – which some people would prefer to do instead of clicking on the link she provided, which requires personal information, which would then put them on email/mailing lists.

Come to think of it, maybe that was the reason why she limited … Nah.
