I don’t care who you are nor how you lean politically – if you’ve read Fox News senior meteorologist Janice Dean’s heartbreaking story about how she lost both of her in-laws to the coronavirus outbreak in New York nursing homes, you can’t help but be moved to tears.
Since their deaths happened, Dean has been an outspoken advocate of holding NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) accountable for what she believes is his role in their deaths and the over 6,000 other deaths that happened in NY nursing homes and assisted living facilities after Cuomo’s disastrous March 25th executive order forcing such facilities to take in COVID-positive patients.
So you can imagine that when Dean saw the widely-shared clip of Dr. Anthony Fauci absurdly proclaiming to PBS that New York state “properly” handled the coronavirus outbreak, saying “they did it correctly”, she was going to take issue with it:
This is garbage. https://t.co/nhvzfXFFul

Fauci’s assertion was particularly baffling when you consider the deep dives even reliably left-leaning publications like the New York Times and ProPublica have done into Cuomo’s handling of the outbreak. Both found that Cuomo’s management of the crisis has been disastrous, including how he dealt with the nursing home issue. They also documented how his and NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio’s (D) political one-upsmanship games early on enabled the virus’s deadly spread not just throughout New York but also throughout the entire country.
So, yes, Dean was right. Fauci’s claim about New York was indeed “garbage.”
Dean disagreeing with Fauci’s faulty observation did not sit well with failed CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien, who tried to diminish Dean’s opinion by demeaning her qualifications:
Meteorologist weighs in. https://t.co/pbMg5dYiTf

Dean pushed back, as did others who have come to know her and respect her passion for holding Cuomo accountable:
30 thousand deaths in New York. Over 6 thousand Covid patients shoved into nursing homes killing over 6,000 elderly. I’d say New York didn’t do the greatest job. Thanks for getting my title right, though.

You are soulless and cruel. My friend @JaniceDean is grieving losing both of her in laws from coronavirus in weeks of each other as a direct result of Gov. Cuomo’s directives. And you assume she doesn’t know health policy because she knows the science of meteorology?

Megyn Kelly took aim at O’Brien, too, in what would become a very revealing exchange – about O’Brien:
That “meteorologist’s” name is @JaniceDean. She’s a working mom w/MS who is married to a hero 9/11 fireman. She lost both in-laws in NY nursing homes thx to Cuomo’s disastrous orders & so yeah, she gets an opinion.
She also epitomizes class & kindness. Remember those? https://t.co/uBUztxWIj0— Megyn Kelly (@megynkelly) July 20, 2020
O’Brien’s initial response, of course was to bring race into a discussion that had nothing to do with race because when Democrats have no defense for their words and actions, they play the race card:
What did I do to deserve the Blackface lady tweeting at me while I’m still in bed? This doesn’t bode well for my day, tbh.
— Soledad O'Brien (@soledadobrien) July 20, 2020
Oh let me help you! You attacked a woman grieving her dead relatives for challenging the narrative that NY handled corona just great, dismissing her as too small to have an opinion bc she’s just a meteorologist. https://t.co/M1eaWbTfiZ
— Megyn Kelly (@megynkelly) July 20, 2020
1. Megyn admits she’s the Blackface Lady
2. I literally pointed out she’s a meteorologist— ‘small” is your word. Hmmmm. You’re welcome to accept her pov over an infectious disease expert.
3. Fauci’s quote is accurate. He said “bring down those cases”. https://t.co/FDcBMDVqIU— Soledad O'Brien (@soledadobrien) July 20, 2020
O’ Brien later claimed attacking Fauci was “intentional” as though there was something sinister or underhanded about pointing out that he was wrong:
Just fyi—attacking Fauci is intentional.
— Soledad O'Brien (@soledadobrien) July 20, 2020
She then proved her racist nature once again by playing the “blonde lady” card because of course she did:
Ignore the dust-up lady. It is the fake outrage machine that has every blonde lady tweeting at me and undermining Dr. Fauci, all at the same time. Fun to be updated on your kiddos, btw. Keep it up.
— Soledad O'Brien (@soledadobrien) July 20, 2020
By the way, here’s another recent instance of O’Brien dismissing the opinions of someone who lost loved ones to the coronavirus:
It was "ugh go away" pic.twitter.com/9dfinxZ8wC

In addition to the indisputable fact that Fauci was wrong, what else is indisputable in this discussion is that Janice Dean is a much better, decent, classier person than Soledad O’Brien ever will be, and that goes way beyond anyone’s educational background and chosen profession. Twitter & Soledad O’Brien’s need to be its “woke mistress” has destroyed what little bit of humanity she had left.
