For some odd reason, instead of pulling together as a team and pledging to join bipartisan efforts to help research and combat the coronavirus outbreak, Democrats have instead chosen relentlessly attack and lie about the Trump administration and other Republican responses to the emerging threat as insufficient, poorly planned, and poorly funded.

I’m sure playing politics in an election year and trying to generate panic among potential voters has nothing to do with their reactions, of course. Nothing at all. Sure.

In any event, as my RedState colleague Nick Arama wrote yesterday, one of the more curious suggestions about how to fight coronavirus came from struggling Democratic presidential candidate and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) on Wednesday. Her solution? To completely remove funding for the border wall and put it towards anti-coronavirus efforts:

On Thursday, she tweeted out more details, and reemphasized her plan to take away all “racist” border wall funding:

So… as the coronavirus problem in other countries grows we are to make it easier for undocumented folks to get into our country? What?

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) saw Warren’s suggestion, and responded accordingly:

Maybe Warren will take a break from the Twitter machine and proposing ridiculous ideas for a few days after she gets crushed on Super Tuesday next week and drops out of the presidential race. One can only hope so, anyway…
