Earlier on Sunday afternoon, a Lancaster Police Department Officer shot and killed a black suspect who was charging at him with a knife over his head.
The officer had been called to a “domestic disturbance”. When he arrived, a woman was standing just inside the front door of the “townhouse” with the glass door closed. She opened and saw the officer who was walking up from the sidewalk. There were 4 steps up from ground level up to the front door. The officer can be heard saying to the woman “Where’d he go?” As the woman opens the door and begins to exit, the officer tells her to “Get back, get back.” As she does so a tall black man exits the front door and comes down the steps as the officer retreats. The black man is holding a large kitchen knife above his head and begins charging towards the officer. The officer defends himself from attack by shooting the suspect from a distance of 5-8 feet, killing him.
The incident was captured on the officer’s body cam video:

Further information coming out tonight is that the dead subject, Ricardo Munoz, seems to have been known to law enforcement, and has stabbed people in the past.
Here is the statement put out by Lancaster Police in the aftermath of the shooting.

BLM is protesting at the Lancaster Police station tonight over the death of Ricardo Munoz — another standout citizen wrongfully gunned down by lawless police in the prime of his life. We’ll never know what worthwhile contributions to society he might have made.

And so it begins at the Police Station — Police declare an unlawful assembly.

Apparently, Lancaster PD has at least one officer who qualified as “marksmen” with a rubber bullet gun:

The Police finally advance out of the Police Station parking lot and out into the street to “greet” the protesters.

In the end, it looks like Lancaster BLM/Antifa might have to answer some questions about a “lack of heart” from the pros in Portland, Seattle, and Minneapolis.
No shield wall, no umbrella squad, no leaf blowers, pathetically weak firecrackers, and not one vehicle with a smashed window was set on fire with a Molotov Cocktail. Pretty much “A” Ball compared to the efforts of the major league rioters in other cities.
Embarrassing.
“Hurry up or we’ll miss the last bus home.”
Over by the @lancstandsup – they’re starting to get rides home. This may be almost over. But another group is setting a dumpster in the street on fire. Or trying to. Lancaster PA

Here is a video from earlier in the evening near the scene of the shooting, before BLM agitators worked to gather the protesters at the Police Station.

Tomorrow night will be key. Just like in Kenosha, if BLM/Antifa agitators start arriving from bigger cities like NY, Philly, and Pittsburgh, the protests tomorrow night could be more organized and larger. It was night two in Kenosha that really got things started. The shooting in Kenosha also happened on a Sunday. Monday night there was wide-scale protesting, but it was Tuesday night in Kenosha when it was basically anarchy on the streets with buildings and car lots burned while the police were too few in number to make much of an impact. It has now been established that there was a big influx of outside agitators into Kenosha on Monday and Tuesday.
So, tomorrow and Tuesday in Lancaster will provide a better barometer on whether it is going to go the same direction as Kenosha did.
