If you listen to Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) talk about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an illegal alien from El Salvador now returned there, one would come away thinking that Abrego Garcia was some combination of an Eagle Scout, Captain America, and Mr. Rogers. Of course, if you consult some other sources, you'll see that Abrego Garcia was in the United States illegally, that he remained in the United States illegally for years while making no attempt to legitimize his status, and that he had multiple complaints of domestic violence laid against him.
But wait! There's more! On Friday, Fox News' Bill Melugin informed us that in 2022, Abrego Garcia was stopped by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, who suspected he was engaged in human trafficking.

Per report, he had 8 people w/ no luggage in the car w/ him, & claimed to be driving them from TX to MD for construction work. Every passenger gave the same home address as Abrego Garcia’s address. The report says Abrego Garcia was evasive during questioning, and had an expired license.
He was not arrested or charged with any crime in relation to the incident.
DHS says the report has yesterday’s date due to redactions made of law enforcement sensitive info for public consumption, but this is an old document.
Eight people. No luggage. All eight people gave the same address - Abrego Garcia's address. None of the eight, it seems, had any identification - and yet they were allowed to proceed. Abrego Garcia had an expired driver's license, which makes one wonder how he had a driver's license at all - unless you know that Maryland gives out driver's licenses to illegal aliens. He was allowed to proceed as well.
Could this entire thing have shouted "Illegal human trafficking" any more loudly? The documentation Mr. Melugin doesn't mention any allegation of Abrego Garcia being paid, but it's a safe bet he didn't drive from Maryland to Texas and pick up eight people to bring back to Maryland, just out of the kindness of his heart.
That is, unless you listen to one of Senator Van Hollen's fawning eulogies of Abrego Garcia, which would be enough to make one wonder why the illegal alien wasn't making these humanitarian missions every few days.
The real stunner here is that the Tennessee state police - Tennessee hardly being a "progressive" state - did nothing, apparently, but send Abrego Garcia and his eight humanitarian-aid recipients on their way. Oh, Abrego Garcia received a "warning citation," which, candidly, is a pretty empty gesture.
In short, nothing was done.
And this is the guy that Democrat acitvists and politicians are putting up for Father of the Year, and are demanding that President Trump somehow order his release from El Salvador, even though the president has no authority over a sovereign nation dealing with a citizen of their country; America has no say in any of this, and President Bukele clearly wants to keep Abreago Garcia where he is.
Democrats have, in this matter and the illegal immigration issue as a whole, descended into farce.
Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
