Dem Strategist James Carville Goes Nuclear on Ilhan Omar - ‘Lady, Get Out the Democrat Party’

Democratic strategist James Carville lived up to every part of his "Ragin’ Cajun" nickname, taking multiple swipes at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) after an old video resurfaced of her disparaging white men as the leading cause of deaths in America.

The video of Omar shows her interviewing as a congressional candidate with Al Jazeera in 2018, in which she describes white men as a bigger terror threat than radical Islamists.

It also marks a cautionary tale for those who follow so-called influencers on social media. There is an ongoing trend in which they post old videos with little context, making them seem as if they are new when, in reality, the clips are not recent. This was one such case.

Having had a few days for this newly posted clip to circulate online, it's unclear if Carville was aware of its origin, or if he simply didn't care because Omar's message is deplorable regardless of when she made the comments.

Carville, who once served as President Bill Clinton’s closest advisor, attacked the Minnesota congresswoman at the Truth Tellers Summit on Wednesday.

His 'truth' was rather brutal.

Carville Goes Ballistic on Kamala’s Progressive Staffers – 'I’d Fire Them, Then Fire Who Hired Them'

Carville references Omar's past comments, processes the math, and declares that painting a vast voting bloc as racist killers is not a smart strategy. To say the least.

"And there are people that agree with her! There are people that actually agree with her," he rages. "And I think it’s — honestly, I think these people are more trouble than they’re worth.”

Good Lord, could you imagine if President Trump referred to a member of the Squad as "these people?" Cue the outrage.

Carville wasn't even vaguely finished yet. He came loaded for bear in a Politicon podcast that very same day (note the same USMC cap and LSU fleece).

The enraged strategist, remarking on the same video and using the same math to point out how detrimental this language is in securing votes from a demographic the Democrats struggle mightily with, demands Omar start her own political party.

"Ilhan Omar. Lady, why don't you just get out the Democratic party," he seethes. "Honestly, start your own movement."

Tell us how you really feel, James. The gentle criticism of the Squad darling continued.

"Why don't you, lady, start your own party, and then when it's over (if) you want to caucus with the Democrats, fine. We agree with a lot of things that you do, but we don't believe we ought to be running against white men," Carville said.

"In fact, we don't think we ought to be running against any gender, any ethnic group, any race, any religion, or anything else. God d**n, these people are just helpless. They cannot be helped. There's nothing you can do to help them. They don't want to be helped, and if they had any guts they'd start their own God d**n political party and get out of ours."

Omar's comments stirred debate when they first surfaced several years ago. Rightly so. Omar, despite a history of making racist and antisemitic comments, was suggesting as a candidate for Congress that white men were a bigger threat than actual terrorists.

“A lot of conservatives, in particular, would say the rise in Islamaphobia is a result not of hate but of fear,” anchor Mehdi Hasan, who would go on to a career at MSNBC, prompts her.

“A legitimate fear they say of ‘jihadist terrorism,’ whether it’s Fort Hood or San Bernardino, or the recent truck attack in New York. What do you say to them?” he asked.

Omar responds, “I would say that our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country.”

In another portion of the interview, Omar backs up that contention, saying that she would even support racial profiling of white men.

“We should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men,” she opined.

Omar said these things and then coasted to election victory in 2018 in Minnesota's 5th congressional district.

Vice President JD Vance described the Democrat lawmaker's resurfaced comments as "genocidal language."
