The resistance party used various forms of protest at Trump's address to Congress Tuesday night — cane waving, ping pong paddles of doom, walkouts, and even pocket whiteboards.

However, one particularly funny effort took place as the president walked into the chamber. 

Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) positioned herself along the area Trump was walking and waited for the opportunity to stage her own little protest. And as he approached, Stansbury anxiously awaited her big moment. Her heart swelled with excitement. And ...

She stood there stone-faced, flashing a piece of paper upon which the words “This is not normal” were scribbled.

Stansbury was so proud of her effort that she pinned an image of the moment to her X account.

Go ahead and take a gander at the image above. Now, tell me which individual in that picture is "not normal."

While the sign was entertaining in itself, the reaction from President Trump and Congressman Lance Gooden (R-TX) made it all the more entertaining.

The president stole a quick peak at the "This is not normal" sign and rolled his eyes, grinning as he turned away to speak with Gooden.

The Daily Mail gave a stab as to what Trump was saying via a lip reader and concluded the following: "This ain't normal. She isn't great to work with at all."

"Aren't they terrible?" Gooden can be heard saying to Trump as he walks by. "They're terrible!"

Shortly thereafter, the congressman grabs Ms. Stansbury's sign and sends it into an orbit that Elon Musk and Starlink would have found impressive.

Contrary to what Stansbury is selling, the real "not normal" was on the Democrat side of the aisle during Trump's speech. In fact, her party had a monopoly on insanity all night long.

What's not normal is refusing to stand and cheer on a young boy fighting brain cancer. 

Nor is it normal to sit on one's hands when the president announces the capture of an ISIS terrorist who masterminded the Abbey Gate attack in Afghanistan that killed 13 American soldiers.

But they did.

The lack of normalcy continued when Democrats refused to cheer a student getting accepted to West Point, ignored calls for protecting women in sports, and refused to acknowledge the tears of families whose loved ones were murdered by criminal illegal aliens.

Democrats just couldn't bring themselves to act like rational human beings for one night.

Stansbury, you may recall, alleged members of the House had been drinking during a rather rowdy Oversight Committee hearing back in May. She is a staunch progressive, as evidenced by her positions in a candidate survey in 2021, not to mention her pink outfit of solidarity during Trump's address.

And, like the rest of the Democrat Party we all watched last night, she isn't normal.
