Frank Figliuzzi, a top FBI official during Obama’s first term and current NBC News analyst, concocted a wild theory that somebody in the White House is "spoon-feeding" President Trump white supremacist talking points. And, he adds, anybody who voted for him needs to question whether or not they can still be considered American.
Figliuzzi, a consistent source of these absurd theories linking Trump to white supremacist ideology, made his latest comments during Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Deadline” with Nicolle Wallace.
Over the weekend, President Trump posted a quote on X that espouses the idea that leaders sometimes must engage in extraordinary actions in times of national crisis. You know, like trying to pull the United States out of the dumpster fire created by the Biden-Harris regime.
"He who saves his Country does not violate any Law," the President wrote.

Figliuzzi noted that while many have made dubious attributions for the quote to Napoleon, Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik used the phrase in justifying a heinous attack in 2011 that killed 77 people, many of them children. It is a complete grasping of straws to make that link, but the former FBI official does so regardless.
"He’s (Breivik) the one, who describes himself as a neo-Nazi, who’s used that statement more recently in history," Figliuzzi breathlessly claims. "And now our president is quoting that white supremacist neo-Nazi murderer."
"If you voted for that, you really need to question whether you’re American anymore."

It Sure Seems Like the Media Is Trying to Get Trump and More of His Followers Killed
In the Wake of the Donald Trump Assassination Attempt, the Press Manages to Lose Face yet Again
Sure, it takes little more than 30 seconds of research to find out that President Trump had literally shared a meme of the quote with an image of Napoleon Bonaparte on Truth Social, making it a virtually zero percent chance that he was citing Breivik instead. But Figliuzzi, like most analysts at MSNBC, doesn't have time for research and rational thought.
Trump must be portrayed as a white supremacist at all costs. And Frank dutifully carries out that mission.
"That’s who’s using that kind of statement," Figliuzzi says of Breivik. "And listen, does Trump sit and read Norwegian history? Hell, no."
"Someone is handing him this story, this quote, and we need to figure out who keeps spoon-feeding him the white supremacy, white terrorist philosophy."
A secret grand exalted dragon wizard, or whatever the heck they call themselves, in the White House as we live and breathe.

Is it any wonder that MSNBC can't draw viewers in the era of Trump? Intelligent ones, anyway. When the analysts are this blindingly ignorant regarding their conclusions, who would possibly want to watch?
The thing is, though, that Figliuzzi does this on the regular. He once claimed - we kid you not - that Trump's lowering of flags to half-staff to honor victims of the El Paso and Dayton shootings in 2019 was a secret shoutout to White Supremacists and Nazis.
Why? Because he had them lowered on August 8th. Which meant they would be raised again on August 8th. Which, in Figliuzzi's mind, everybody knows 8/8 is code for "Heil Hitler."
The mental gymnastics to reach this conclusion are astounding. This might be one of the dumbest theories ever uttered on live television by an adult not already committed to an asylum.
MSNBC this week on the El Paso tragedy:

Nicolle Wallace: Trump “talking about exterminating Latinos”
Frank Figliuzzi: Trump raising flag on 8/8 signals “Heil Hitler” to Nazis
Malcolm Nance: “Trump giving [Nazis] subliminal orders”
Mika Brzezinski: “This is what [Trump] wants” pic.twitter.com/KfhdTJTMuj
“The president says that we will fly our flags at half-mast until August 8, that’s 8/8,” Figliuzzi told Brian Williams at the time. “Now, I’m not going to imply that he did this deliberately, but I am using it as an example of the ignorance of the adversary that’s being demonstrated by the White House.”
“The numbers 8/8 are very significant in the neo-Nazi and the white supremacy movement. Why? Because the letter ‘H’ is the eighth letter of the alphabet, and to them, the numbers 8/8 stand for ‘Heil Hitler.”
Got that? You can never do anything on August 8th ever again, lest ye be branded a Klansman.
It's hard to believe he still has a job after that segment. But Figliuzzi has actually thrived at MSNBC with some other gems, including: Worrying that the assassination attempt against Trump was going to lead to violence against leftists, suggesting Republican lawmakers should be preemptively arrested to prevent another January 6th protest, and likening Trump’s relationship with his supporters to a radical Islamic cleric who plays beheading videos as a means to radicalize jihadists.
Pure lunacy.
Figliuzzi served as assistant director of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division between 2011 and 2012. He was appointed by Robert Mueller. That should tell you all you need to know.
