Rumors are growing around D.C. today about another possible Friday firing, which have become almost commonplace in the Trump administration.
This time, however, the person in question is the man responsible for appointing special counsel Robert Mueller to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 election, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
wall street trading desks AND GOP staffers telling me they're hearing Rod Rosenstein is OUT as Deputy AG as @POTUS rages over Mueller inquiry as early as tonight. @WhiteHouse no immediate comment we discuss the mkt implications at 340 edt @LizClaman @FoxBusiness

The special investigation has been a thorn in Pres. Trump’s side and one he frequently loses his composure over on Twitter.
Rosenstein has reportedly been telling confidantes he’s prepared for his potential firing.
The firing of Rosenstein is very up in the air at this point as some reports say even if Rosenstein is fired, it won’t be today.
Fox has learned that from sources familiar with the President's thinking there are no plans to fire Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein“tonight” or at least in the near future. When queried, sources noted that did not preclude Rosenstein from being fired down the road.
