As we reported, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) died suddenly over the weekend.

A preliminary examination indicates that he died of an aortic dissection due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

In a joint statement, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and medical examiner’s office said Graham was pronounced dead at George Washington University Hospital at 10:23 p.m. ET on Saturday. The statement also reiterated the medical examiner’s preliminary findings.

“Whenever an autopsy is performed in the District of Columbia, the pathologist also orders comprehensive toxicology testing and microcopy both of which take time to complete,” the statement added.

Once the toxicology testing is complete, they will have an official/final cause of death.

Graham told an aide he was not feeling well on Saturday. The aide told him to get some medical help, and unfortunately, Graham said he would do that after he appeared on "Meet the Press" on Sunday.

Graham joked, "I can't die now. I still need to do the Russia sanctions, get Iran sorted out and do Israeli-Saudi normalization," according to the report.

On Sunday, FBI Director Kash Patel posted a statement on X saying that the FBI would be "assisting local authorities."

Senator Lindsey Graham was a devoted public servant, a fierce defender of our nation, and a true patriot who dedicated his life to the people of South Carolina and the United States. Our prayers are with his family, loved ones, colleagues, and all those who knew him during this devastating time. The FBI is assisting local authorities and has made every necessary resource available.

Then, there were FBI agents spotted at Graham's house.

NBC reported there were nearly 20 FBI agents at his Capitol Hill home. While there was "no indication of foul play," they said it was "out of an abundance of caution." Sounds like they are being understandably careful.
