Democrats have been in disarray, sniping at each other and trying to figure out how to dig out from under how badly the American people rejected them in November and their low approval ratings.
Historically, they've always been able to count on some support from young voters.
But according to a new Harvard Youth Poll, things just got worse for them, even with that group of Americans.
[T]he 50th Harvard Youth Poll indicates that approval ratings for Democrats in Congress among Americans aged 18-29 have nosedived.
According to Harvard's annual spring survey, which was conducted March 14-25 and released on Wednesday, the approval rating for congressional Democrats stands at 23%, down from 42% in the spring of 2017 at the start of Trump's first term.
Meanwhile, the approval even for Congressional Republicans and President Donald Trump is now higher with that group than with the Democrats.

Approval of Congressional Democrats has plummeted among young Americans, falling from 48% in 2020 to just 23% in 2025.
Trump and Congressional Republicans’ approval is unchanged.

"In that same period, approval of Congressional Republicans has held steady, inching up slightly from 28% to 29%," the poll's release notes.
And the approval rating for Trump, who next week marks 100 days into his second tour of duty in the White House, stands at 31% in the new survey.
That's pretty stunning and it shows people are just slipping away from the Democrats. That's just going to kill them in elections and may be part of why they lost in November. A lot are barely getting by financially.
More than 4 in 10 Americans under 30 are barely getting by financially—with women & non-college youth hit hardest. Half of young adults without a college degree report financial hardship, compared to 29% of college grads; only 16% say they're doing well or very well financially. pic.twitter.com/zu3CruzYlE

What group of voters do Democrats have left that they can feel secure about? Older, leftist hippies? When they age out, who will they have left?
That's not a good look for the Democrats' future and it couldn't be more deserved. We previously reported on the Gallup poll showing confidence in Democrat leadership in Congress stood at a record-low 25 percent, which was nine points below the previous low of 34 percent in 2023. Democrat approval in multiple polls is at record lows.
Trump has brought down inflation and lowered prices on staples that shot up under Biden, like eggs. He's also bringing jobs back. If he can resolve the tariff question and show the positives to this age group, not only would that be of great benefit to Americans, but Republicans could pick up even more of this age group. It's always the economy, ultimately.
Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
