Bill Melugin Schools Tim Walz When He Steps in It Again With Response to ICE Case

I'm not sure who it was in the Democratic Party who sold them on the idea that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was going to be a great choice to reach out to voters in the middle.

Between his radical positions and continually putting his foot in his mouth, he violated the one basic rule about a vice presidential candidate: Don't hurt the ticket. If they intended for him to help out Kamala Harris, who was already a bad candidate, picking him made things even worse because he didn't know how to deal normally and truthfully with the public either.

One of the reasons Democrats are so unpopular right now with the American people is their radical positions. Walz just proved that again with his reaction to ICE taking a University of Minnesota foreign student into custody. He said he had spoken with the Department of Homeland Security and "we need answers."

The answer, of course, is that ICE is enforcing the law. But Walz and the Democrats act like ICE, when it does that, is somehow the hostile "fascist" enemy. It's such an extreme take.

Does he forget who he is supposed to serve? The people of Minnesota and the rule of law.

But what was funny is he said he wanted answers. Well, Fox's Bill Melugin gave them to him.

Melugin said that the student had been detained not because of any involvement in protests but because of a prior DUI that led to the State Department revoking her visa, according to the DHS.

So, not because of anything to do with protests. So Walz is trying to defend someone who had a prior DUI. I'm sure that will go over well with the American people. Of course, as journalist Joe Concha pointed out, Walz might have some nodding acquaintance with such a thing.

Oof. Concha also pointed out how his response to the border wall was to say he would invest in the "30-foot ladder company" — a bizarre encouragement to climb over the wall and break the law.

I think Walz should just back out now. If he keeps wanting to be the "face" of the party, he's going to be a never-ending source of mockery.

Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
