What's Happening at Anti-ICE Protests Across Country Is Raising Eyebrows

What a radical concept it is -- enforcing the law when it comes to the border and illegal immigration.

We saw under the Biden administration that they didn't seem to care much about that until the end of their occupation of the White House, and then they claimed they couldn't resolve the issues without a bill from Congress.

Indeed, Kamala Harris -- the person who didn't want to be referred to as the "border czar"-- didn't show much dedication to enforcement of the immigration law before the Biden team occupied the White House.

This is her in 2018, chanting, "Down, down with deportation!"

Then the Biden administration allowed the problem to get completely out of hand during the last four years.

So when President Donald Trump was reelected, he brought a big change simply by stating what should be an accepted truth: that he would enforce the law when it comes to illegal immigration.

To begin with, he has been focusing on having ICE deport criminal illegal aliens since he came into office for the second time. That was one of the main things that the American people wanted him to address when they voted for him after the failure of the Biden administration. He's had some success in dropping the number of illegal aliens entering at the Southern border as well.

There have been a variety of protests across the country against the ICE enforcement with some demonstrators flying Mexican flags and, in some cases, with people blocking roads. In National City, California on Friday, when protesters blocked police cars, they had to use tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Here they are blocking roads in Atlanta, Georgia:

This seemed pretty concerning when you had people getting in the face of a police officer in Salem, Oregon.

The officer ended up getting in his car and leaving.

This was in Phoenix:

Meanwhile, in Oxnard, California, if you go to the end of this video, you can see protesters setting fire to an American flag in the middle of the street.

Among the signs at some of these protests were sayings like "No one is illegal on stolen land" and "Don't bite the hand that feeds you."

That isn't going over well with the American people.

So I have a question for these protesters. If they or the people they're protesting for want to be here, if they came here because they thought they had reason to be here rather than in Mexico, then why are they waving the Mexican flag? Why aren't they praising the U.S. and waving American flags? Why is at least one of these groups burning an American flag?

You don't make that case for why illegal aliens should be here when people are waving foreign flags, blocking cars, and causing disruption in the streets. That tends to tick off everyone on both sides of the aisle, and it adds to the desire for the American people to want to enforce the law.

You don't make that case when you burn an American flag. They act like illegal aliens have a right to be here and that the U.S. is in the wrong for actually enforcing its laws; they act as though we have no right to enforce our rules. They're actually helping Trump's point when they do things like this. There was already a mandate, and they're just making it bigger with such actions.

Now they might have assumed that position was going to work, since it seemed to work when the left was in charge. But Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are gone. The Democrats are no longer in power in the House or the Senate either. The open door is gone. It's a new day, and there's a real sheriff in town now. And he's not going to be caving in on his purpose anytime soon.
