MUST WATCH: Kamala's Disqualifying Comment About Going Into Homes to Check Guns

Remember what Kamala Harris said in her CNN interview? She claimed her values "have not changed."

Yet, she's had a troubling history of extreme left-wing positions. So if her values "have not changed," why would we ever put her in office? She of course has been flip-flopping all over the place, trying to pose as more moderate, knowing Americans are not far left. But we would be foolish to fall for this posture from her.

On Wednesday, one of her prior statements went viral in a resurrected clip from a May 2007 press conference. It is more than a little concerning.

“We're going to require responsible behaviors among everybody in the community, and just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn't mean that we're not going to walk into that home and check to see if you're being responsible,” she said.

Has she ever read the Constitution? She's literally talking about invading your homes to check your guns when you are in legal possession of them. Yeah, you don't get to walk into someone's home just because they own a gun. This should scare anyone, of every political stripe.

She was talking about legislation she helped write that imposed penalties for gun owners who fail to store their firearms properly at home.

Harris said the new measure was about legislating "our values" in an attempt to "encourage certain kinds of behavior."

"When we create laws, it's not only about creating an opportunity, if you will, to prosecute someone for committing a crime, but more importantly, when we legislate our values, it's about trying to encourage certain types of behavior," she said at the time.

Oh, goody. There's her "values" again, trying to force behaviors they want.

James Singer, a Harris campaign spokesperson, told Fox News Digital that a potential Harris administration would "uphold and defend the law and rights of Americans, including the Second Amendment."

"The law in question, requiring sensible gun storage in homes, was upheld by Republican appointed judges in the ninth circuit and declined to be reviewed by the Supreme Court," he added. "As Vice President Harris said on the debate stage, she is a gun owner who supports common-sense safety laws that Donald Trump opposes."

The law might have skated past.  That doesn't mean what she said in the press conference was right, indeed it was incredibly troubling that anyone running for the highest office in the land could ever have said such a thing.

The resurrected clip had everyone talking and rightly so. Who's the fascist again? This is disqualifying.

I wrote earlier about one of the troubling things she said on Wednesday about "children of the community are the children of the community." On first blush that sounds like a repetitive word salad, but it also sounds like a profession that your children belong to the state. If she believes that, she should never have power.

So she hasn't given up these kinds of leftist thoughts, whatever she will try to say now.
