Biden Tries to Spin His Poor Debate Performance During Stop in NC, but Incoherence and Screaming Continue

I think if I were Joe Biden, or Jill Biden, for that matter, after that disastrous debate, I would be taking the time now to reevaluate my priorities and consider pulling him out of the race.

But that would require concern for Joe and the country, and it doesn't look like Jill cares about any of that. Instead, they're still throwing him out there as though he hadn't imploded in front of everyone. They had him doing an event in North Carolina on Friday.

Here, Jill is saying how much she loves him.

Lady, look at the man behind you. Have you really looked? Do you give a darn about him at all?

Biden and his team tried to spin his debate performance. Even though right after the debate he claimed he thought he had done well, now he was revising it and admitting he didn't do so well.

"I know I'm not a young man. I don't walk as easy as I used to. I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to, but I know what I do know — I know how to tell the truth!"  Biden claimed.

Uh-huh, but he lied throughout the debate, including telling a roundly debunked lie about former President Donald Trump and what he said about Charlottesville.

A senior Biden adviser said the campaign team worked closely with the president Friday morning to draft his closing remarks in Raleigh about the debate. It was not, the adviser said, a response to negative coverage or the calls growing in the party for him to consider stepping aside. Biden, the adviser said, knows full well he didn’t deliver the performance he needed to last night and knew he needed to directly address it Friday.

But even as they tried to spin and Biden had a little more energy, he still was incoherent and screaming.

What the heck word was this? This was like "Trueanualdepressure." It was supposed to be "Roe v. Wade," I think but it looked like he glitched halfway through.

Biden's Take on His Debate Performance Is Nuts,
but CNN's Snap Poll Offers Harsh Reality Check

He kept dropping words and glitching, as he did here when he tried to talk about the opinion of 16 Nobel prize-winning economists.

As he left the stage, there was a moment where it looked like he was going to jump off the stage as he lurched forward.

And as awful as this was, it probably was still better than last night, which tells you how bad last night was.

But perhaps this was the worst comment he made while in North Carolina. As the people chanted, "Lock him up" referring to Biden's political opponent, Biden said, "Time for that."

Given the lawfare being directed at Trump, including by Democrats, that's a very concerning remark to make. So where are the Democrats who went after Trump for audiences that chanted this when he didn't pursue his political opponent, but Biden says this while his opponent is being pursued?
