WATCH: Crazy Bernie Sanders Moment, As He Flips Out on Reporter Over 32-Hour Work Week

The shtick from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) constantly pushing hatred of the rich and pushing socialist ideas is pretty old at this point.

But Sanders did try a little bit of a new twist to the old theme this week: pushing a 32-hour work week, arguing that working 40 hours is essentially too hard and exhausting for people. He wants people only to have to work a 32-hour work week -- but get paid for 40 hours.

Let's listen to Bernie lose it on Fox Business' Hillary Vaughn. If a Republican had lost it like this on a female reporter, we'd be hearing about how disrespectful this was and how the person shouldn't be getting up in a woman's face. But he just started yelling so much, it was almost like an SNL parody of him. She tried to inject some reality into the exchange, but he wasn't having any of it.

First, he shouted, "Really?" at her, when she asked him about the effect on businesses. He was waving his hands right in her face.

Sanders claimed you could do it because of an increase in worker productivity, but that the "wealth" was going to "the top 1 percent."

He said, "Many of our people are exhausted. We work the longest hours of anyone in the industrialized world." The "we" there is funny, since Bernie never had a real job and thinks 40 hours is a tough work week.

The problem under Bidenflation is that many have to work far longer than that and sometimes two jobs, to be able to cover essentials now. But that's not something that Bernie truly understands. Only someone like Bernie could think that anyone would take seriously an idea where you get paid for a day, even if you don't do the work.

Plus, he yells about the rich paying their fair share. But it's the rich who pay most of the taxes, as the Fox folks note in that clip. The problem isn't that people are not paying enough taxes; the problem has always been too much spending by the government.

Bernie doesn't care about the effect this proposal would have. This new proposal would probably do in some businesses, drive prices up, and ultimately cost people their jobs, said Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA).

The proposal amounts to an effective pay increase forced upon businesses, Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., said, predicting that the 32-hour workweek would "destroy some employers."

"They would ship those jobs overseas or they would automate to replace those workers for whom they have an increased expense, or they would dramatically increase prices to stay afloat," Cassidy added.

But socialists don't care about the results of their ill-considered actions. And socialists always think they are right, as they will be the first to tell you so. Very, very loudly.

Great job by Hillary Vaughn hanging in there, despite him getting in her face, and still pressing him on the question.

What the foiks on the left like Bernie don't want to talk about is not spending so much of our money, which is what kicked off the inflation and not taxing us as much, taking the money right out of our pocket. That would help to right the economic ship.
