Biden Delivers Angry Attack on Trump and Jan. 6 in Valley Forge Speech, but Trips Over Reality

Joe Biden doesn't have a lot of options.

He's very unpopular, he's created a lot of crises, from the border to inflation.

All he can do is deflect and try to demonize his Republican opponents because former President Donald Trump is leading him in multiple polls and even in the swing states.

So he set up a stage near Valley Forge, PA, with flags behind him, to try to invest himself in history or gravitas as he delivered his first campaign speech.

It failed.

It was a recall of his angry Philadelphia speech where he demonized millions of Americans, as he rambled and slurred his way through an attack on former president Donald Trump and tried to pitch fear in the country over Jan. 6. He did manage to get rid of the red that had been present as a backdrop behind his Philly speech, so it appears he (or his team) did learn from that.

His wife escorted him out.

He had his typical confusion where he claimed it was "my Oval Office."

Then Biden sounded like he had no idea what he was talking about here, getting angry and yelling at the teleprompter.

Biden claimed we "nearly lost America on Jan. 6, nearly lost it all," which is crazy hyperbole. He claimed the election was about the "sacred cause" of democracy. He claimed that's what his campaign was about, saying repeatedly that Trump was attacking democracy. He claimed, "Democracy is on the ballot."

He claimed our freedom, including our freedom to vote, was on the ballot.

Yet, it's the Democrats in multiple states trying to keep Trump off the ballot and depriving millions of people of the right to vote for their choice. That's not Trump posing that threat; that's Democrats.

Biden claims he ran to be a president for all the people, yet again, he attacked MAGA supporters as not believing in democracy. So once again, he says one thing and then contradicts himself in the next breath.

In talking about Jan. 6, he called it an insurrection when no one has even been charged with that, including Trump. He told multiple falsehoods, including saying that Trump didn't call for peace on Jan.6, when he most certainly did, first calling on people to act peacefully and patriotically, and then after the riot, telling people there had to be peace and they had to go home.

Biden also claimed that he went to the funerals of police officers who died as a result of that day. Yet, no police officers were killed during the riot. Brian Sicknick, who died the following day, suffered from a stroke.

He claimed the country wasn't built on "ethnicity" — as he and other Democrats try to divide people by politics and identity groups. What was funny was even as he mentioned LGBTQ, he left out the "T," so by their ridiculous standards, he would have offended people with that.

He repeated the debunked story that Trump called the military "suckers" and "losers."

He even claimed world leaders were pulling him to the side, telling him Trump can't win. Uh-huh, like he met that Amtrak conductor on the train long after he was dead.

Biden pulled out anything he could to preach hatred of MAGA. He spoke about the "big lie" but failed to acknowledge Democratic election denialism.

He spoke of a "determined minority" that wanted to destroy America, meaning MAGA supporters, claiming Americans know this. But I think Americans know the truth and the real dangers, which is why Biden is doing so badly in the polls.

He spoke about the cold winter at Valley Forge. But what he didn't speak about was anything he had done to make the country better. He didn't talk about how he'd solved any problems because he can't. He didn't talk about the things that concern the American people — the economy, the border, or the American hostages being held by Hamas.

It was an empty speech, with Democrats being guilty of much of what Biden tried to smear Trump with.

He came back to the stage after hugging his wife, saying, "I understand power."

Indeed, that's all he and the Democrats care about. It's what this is all about, and they will say anything to prevent them from losing it.

His wife then had to escort him away.

It was a shameless performance.

If he thought it was going to change things for his dismal numbers, it won't.
