The polls have shown that Joe Biden is in some real trouble.
That's prompted some folks like Democratic operatives like David Axelrod and James Carville sounding an alarm about his chances. I wrote previously about Biden flipping out at Axelrod after he suggested his running again might not be the best thing for the party or the country, but Axelrod shot back saying the polls weren't wrong.

Democratic operative James Carville has expressed similar concerns and Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) had a few things to say about that.
We've seen he hasn't been afraid to engage folks on the left on issues like the radical anti-Israel activists.

But his battle with Democratic operative James Carville showed that he's still got some Democratic delusion working when it comes to Joe Biden.
Fetterman said in an interview with Politico that he thought there was a long time between now and next November. That's when he let loose on Carville.
And I’m very vocal about this, too, while there are Democrats that are being very critical about the president. ... I’ll use this [as] another opportunity to tell James Carville to shut the fuck up. Like I said, my man hasn’t been relevant since grunge was a thing. And I don’t know why he believes it’s helpful to say these kinds of things about an incredibly difficult circumstance with an incredibly strong and decent and excellent president. I’ll never understand that.
Maybe because Biden isn't strong, decent, or excellent? Carville knows it and so do most American voters as the polls show.
Carville, who's a troller like Fetterman had a great response to the charge of what he has to say not being relevant.
(Editor’s note: Asked if he’d like to respond, Carville said other Democratic senators “apparently haven’t gotten the memo yet” that he’s not relevant. “His colleague Sen. Casey asked me to host a fundraiser with him last week,” he said. “Sen. Brown asked me to go to Cleveland to campaign with him.” Of Fetterman, he added: “I’m glad he’s feeling better.”)
Fetterman was also asked about a shot he took at Gavin Newsom for saying he is "running for president right now" but doesn't have the "guts to announce it." We wrote about him saying that back in November.

He said he wasn't so "critical" of Newsom but then added more to his criticism.
I just simply said that it seems kind of strange to challenge a candidate of a race that you’re not involved in. ... It’s also strange that you are going to make a very splash visit to China when the leaders are actually coming to your very own state … a couple of weeks later. Or making donations to obscure South Carolinian politicians.
Score one there for Fetterman - even he can see it. Doesn't Newsom believe we can't see what's going on? That's one of the things people are seeing about Fetterman now that they like. He may be wrong when it comes to Biden, but he doesn't hold back what he's thinking like most politicians. And he's right on the money on Newsom's aims.
But this also exposes what division Democrats are having on the subject. If the operatives see the writing on the wall and you even have folks like Newsom running shadow candidacies, you know Biden is in trouble. If they're going to pull him, they don't have a lot of time left. Then they're going to have to be all in on a guy who's only getting older and more incoherent as time goes on.
