Doocy Puts Biden on the Spot Over Battleground Polling as Joe Runs From All Reality

Fox's Peter Doocy managed to put Joe Biden on the spot on Thursday on the South Lawn. Biden was leaving to fly to Illinois to talk about the UAW agreement and go to a campaign reception.

Trust in Doocy to ask good questions that get right to the heart of Biden's issues, and Biden does not react well to them. Doocy asked why Biden thinks that people should be more concerned about abortion access than his age.

"I don't think it's a comparable comparison," Biden replied.

What? Is that an answer? It sounds like he just doesn't know how to respond to the question.

It's a good question -- what will be uppermost in people's minds when they're in that voting booth? But he doesn't want to admit that he faces a big problem because of his age and his incoherence, as all the polls have shown.

Then Doocy asked him about those polls, specifically the ones showing that former President Donald Trump is beating him in the battleground states. That question ticked Joe off, and he denied that he was even trailing in those states.

That's detached from reality; he just wants to deny polls like those done by CNN and the NY Times/Sienna poll because they're so bad for him. What's ironic on top of that is he's attacking CNN and the NY Times. But they're the outlets that have given him a lot of support over time. So it's funny he's throwing them under the bus now.

Paul Bedard dropped a little more reality on Biden.

There was also a bonus question from another reporter about why Biden finally got around to an airstrike on the Iranian facility in Syria.

Biden says he hit them because they hit us. But they've hit us more than 40 times in the last few weeks. They've injured at least 45 Americans even before this most recent attack, where they hit a U.S. drone. Sen. John Kennedy has been blasting him for his weakness. It's that weakness that has caused more attacks.

Finally, he said he was optimistic about the hostages.

Yet, he did not indicate there was any movement in that regard after they'd been held for over a month.
