Israel is fighting on a lot of fronts right now. One of the biggest concerns is the fighting spreading even further and having more parties involved.
I wrote previously about how the Taliban reportedly wanted to get involved and go to Gaza to fight against the Israelis. Reports are that some of the weapons left behind in Afghanistan have made their way to Gaza. Congratulations, Joe Biden.
We've already seen Hezbollah involved as well, firing on Israel from the north, and so Israel has had to deploy units there as well, with its border with Lebanon.
There were also reports about airports being hit in Syria.
Now, there's another issue unfolding at the Jordanian border with Israel.
While the government of Jordan signed a peace treaty with Israel, there are still many pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas people in Jordan — a lot of people in Jordan are Palestinians.
Thousands gathered in Amman on Friday, chanting in support of Hamas, calling to close the Israeli embassy and end the peace treaty.
In the cities of Irbid and Zarqa, thousands took to the streets carrying Hamas flags, vowing revenge against Israel and calling on the militant movement, which rules Gaza, to escalate strikes.
Then, about 500 demonstrators tried to march on the border with the West Bank, despite protests in that area being banned by Jordan, which is trying to prevent the war from spreading and involving them.

Jordanian police had to use tear gas and forcibly disperse the pro-Hamas people from trying reaching the border.

Jordanian security fired tear gas bombs at the crowds heading towards the border with Israel/West Bank. More than 2 million Palestinian refugees live in Jordan…the potential for the Hamas conflict to destabilize other countries that have relations with Israel is huge right now.

As we reported, things got worse after former Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal called for a global day of jihad and specifically called for action from those in Jordan.
"Tribes of Jordan, sons of Jordan, brothers and sisters of Jordan... This is a moment of truth and the borders are close to you, you all know your responsibility," Meshaal said. [....]
"To all scholars who teach jihad... to all who teach and learn, this is a moment for the application (of theories)," Meshaal said.
A lot of concerning actions on top of what was already a horrible effort against Israel. Let's hope the Jordanian government sticks to their guns on this and doesn't let the border be overrun.
