Biden Delivers Clueless Response to Voters and Midterm Results

A big wave would have delivered a big message to the Democrats. Now, we all know that they’d still lie and do whatever they want anyway. But they’d at least perhaps publicly pretend to be a little chastened.

It looks like we could still win the House and the Senate — a fairly significant feat even with a small majority because that’s going to give us control of the committees and largely stop Joe Biden’s legislative agenda. We should take note of how important that is if we can pull it off (and then we should make sure that Arizona, Pennsylvania — all states — don’t have these games they play where we’re not going to know results for days.)

Nevada is looking like a pickup at this point and Georgia will be a run-off with Walker having the theoretical advantage (although for sure Democrats will throw everything against the wall to get him). So that’s probably a 51, but we shall see. So while folks are upset we didn’t win more, and that’s understandable, it’s important to note what we have won and what we might yet win.

You had things like even Guam and Miami-Dade flipping to Republicans, and historic races like the New York races where we picked up seats, including knocking off the DCCC chair Sean Patrick Maloney and Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) turning in the closest race for a Republican in the deep-blue state in 20 years. I don’t know how you have that but you don’t have a bigger wave. The answer isn’t abortion or Ron DeSantis, Greg Abbott, and others who won who were pro-life wouldn’t have won so handily. We saw a lot of Hispanic movement toward Republicans. Republicans dominated in Florida with DeSantis winning by almost 20 points and Abbott trouncing the insufferable Beto O’Rourke. We even finally got Stacey Abrams to concede in her race to Gov. Brian Kemp for the governor’s race in Georgia.

But one of the big messages that the exit polls showed was that people were unhappy with the direction of the country. I don’t know how you can feel that way and not throw Democrats out everywhere. But my immediate thought when that unfolded was that Democrats would not be sufficiently chastened by the results. They would think it was a green light to continue to do all the bad things that they have been doing because they think that they haven’t been nailed on it and there aren’t enough consequences.

That’s exactly what we’re hearing now from Joe Biden. He seemed to treat that failure to throw Democrats out everywhere as a “win” for Democrats, saying that a wave didn’t happen.

Notice how suddenly there doesn’t seem to be a threat to “democracy” anymore? Funny how that works.

As noted above, we don’t know yet for certain, but it looks like the Republicans could win both the House and the Senate. You can see the predictions at the bottom of the chyron with 51 in the Senate and 218 in the House. We’ll have to see how it continues to shake out.

So did Biden take away anything to learn? A reporter asked him about the one thing everyone seemed to agree on: the wrong direction of the country under him. Biden’s response showed he wasn’t even pretending to have learned anything.

How horrible is that answer? He’s unabashedly going to continue along the disastrous path he’s been following.

Americans who voted for Democrats or who were fooled into believing Biden had achieved something by his sleight-of-hand tricks over oil and gas are about to get a rude awakening. Prepare for the oil and gas prices now to start going back up once the releases from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve stop. The railroad strike Biden put off? That may hit now in December, in the holiday season. On top of all that, here comes the diesel shortage as well. Prepare for all that, because it’s coming.

They don’t care now because it was all about gaining what they could for the midterms and they’re digging their hole deeper for 2024. But then, Biden is on the ballot, unless they sweep him aside. And the people will be delivering a referendum on him.
