Mark Ruffalo Comes to AOC's Defense, but Elon Finishes Them Both off With a Little Reality

We previously reported how Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) threw a fit over Elon Musk’s proposal to charge $8 per month for a blue check to help increase the income and not have to be reliant on advertisers who would try to dictate policy.

AOC attacked the $8 payment, saying that Musk was “trying to sell people on the idea that ‘free speech’ is actually a $8/mo subscription plan.”

She didn’t seem to understand the concept of free speech and that yes, it doesn’t preclude you from charging for a service that you provide — in this case the verification and other benefits of having it, such as fewer ads.

Musk hilariously responded, “Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8.” He also noted how she was charging $58 for a cheesy sweatshirt.

That made AOC madder. She then accused him of somehow trying to interfere with her Twitter account, as though he would give a darn about her. “What’s good? Doesn’t seem very free speechy to me.”

That was the icing on the cake of all the liberal tears she was shedding. She went right into conspiracy land and just spread “misinformation” without any evidence of her claim.

Her whining did get the attention of actor Mark Ruffalo, who came to her defense even though it was all in her head.

The actor-activist Ruffalo then retweeted Ocasio-Cortez, writing: “Elon. Please—for the love of decency—get off Twitter, hand the keys over to someone who does this as an actual job, and get on with running Tesla and SpaceX.

“You are destroying your credibility. It’s just not a good look,” the actor snipped.

Imagine Ruffalo — a middling actor at best– trying to tell one of the most successful men in the world what to do, as though Ruffalo has any credibility at all or anything that AOC says is to be taken seriously.

But Elon brought a little reality back to the equation. “Hot take: not everything AOC says is [100%] accurate.”

Game, set, and match, right there.

Ruffalo acknowledged that Musk might be correct. But he said that is why they needed filters for misinformation.

Who gets to decide what is disinformation? Musk gets the problem there, Ruffalo the liberal does not. But the funny thing is that if they did apply such filters now honestly, it would be constantly nailing the Democrats like AOC and Joe Biden over their lies and misinformation. We’re finally seeing people like Biden getting fact-checked that the left can’t deal, just like they can’t deal with paying for the blue checkmark.

Buckle up, leftists, you don’t control everything anymore and you’re about to get the boot in the election as well. So you’re going to have a lot more to be unhappy about. Your tears are just beginning.
