Adam Kinzinger Pounces on Pelosi Attack to Connect it to Jan. 6

Some of the Democrats and their fellow travelers immediately pounced on the attack on Paul Pelosi on Friday as a reason to attack people on the right, even though there has been no indication that there was any political motive or that anyone on the right was involved in any way.

You even had a Harvard Law professor who should know better jumping to push this talking point.

“The far right has normalized the use of violence even against the families of public officials with whom somebody might disagree,” Tribe claimed. “This absolutely must stop.”

But naturally, the dumbest point was made by Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL). Leave it to him to go right to the conspiracy theories and drinking the blood of babies. He immediately tried to use the incident to justify his political witchhunt Jan. 6 Committee, which is pretty shameful.

“I’m waiting for the police briefing, but i want to be clear: when you convince people that politicians are rigging elections, drink babies blood, etc, you will get violence,” Kinzinger whined. “This must be rejected. This is why the Jan 6th committee is so important.”

How about he waits at least a day until the police comment on the facts before he starts shooting off his mouth? The police have not confirmed that anyone was targeted yet, although there have been reports from the media that he said “Where’s Nancy, where’s Nancy?” And the police reported that Pelosi had the hammer, likely to defend himself, then they struggled and the man hit Pelosi with it. So it’s not clear what the man was doing at the home or what his motivation was.

“A 42 year old obsessed with Jan 6, election conspiracies, religious tones, attacks an 82 year old man with a hammer. Paul was struggling with him. How terrifying. Thank you to SF police. Every GOP candidate and elected official must speak out, and now.”

While there are reports out there about what might be on his social media, the police have not confirmed any of that and again haven’t talked about motivation. As we’ve noted, he was reportedly a hemp jewelry maker from Berkeley who was allegedly involved in a nudist protest in the Castro area of San Francisco. He also reportedly was a transient. For all we know, he may have broken in looking for a place to stay. Unlike Adam, we’re not going to jump to motivation until we have the facts to hang it on.

Again what does the GOP have to do with this incident, except in the benighted mind of Adam Kinzinger? Shall we talk about all the conspiracies that the left has spread about the 2016 election and President Donald Trump? Can we talk about how people on the left attacked Trump supporters for the crime of wearing a hat? Where was the condemnation from people on the right about that? Where was the condemnation of the left about the assassination attempt on Justice Brett Kavanaugh? Instead, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) encouraged people to continue to go to justices’ homes to get them to change their votes. The Democrats also whipped up anger against the Republicans over healthcare before a Bernie Bro shot up the GOP baseball practice and almost killed Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA).

But unlike Democrats — some of whom celebrated Rand Paul being attacked, including Christine Pelosi, Nancy and Paul Pelosi’s daughter — all the Republicans who have spoken so far have universally condemned the attack on Paul Pelosi, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

We’ll also note this important point, made by a local.
