While Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) threw a last-minute roadblock into the bill, it looks like they came together on language in any event, as it was just announced that the Manchin-Schumer deal has just passed.
BREAKING: Senate passes historic bill, Democrats cheer as VP Harris casts the tie-breaking vote.
The bill that significantly affects health care, climate and tax policy looked dead just a few weeks ago.
Now it moves to the House – passage expected Friday.

What happened with the roadblock that Sinema threw out there about the corporate minimum tax?
The Democrats figured out a way to do it bypassing the proposed Thune amendment, which would have been a “poison pill” for some of the Democrats in the House.
BREAKING: Democrats, you have a solution.
Am told by multiple sources that Dems (Sen. Warner) will offer a *substitute amendment* to the Thune amendment now getting a vote.
That will change the SALT pay-for (poison pill for some Dems) to a new pay for: loss-limitation ext.

That means it’s now more likely the House Democrats who might have had issues will go along with it. So, it’s likely a done deal here. Sinema and Manchin sold us out, and it’s a bad day for America.
