Go Woke, Go Broke: Huge Number of Americans Dropping Disney for Radical Position on Parental Rights Bill

Disney is a powerful company but they may have just stepped in it big time with their position over a parents’ rights bill that they falsely call the “Don’t Say Gay” law in Florida.

The law doesn’t say anything about “don’t say gay.” Indeed it doesn’t mention “gay” at all.

The legislative text of the House version of the bill reads, ‘Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.’ [….]

That’s what folks on the left have been freaking out about for weeks? It’s no wonder that parents are for it — and why people once they look at the language — are questioning what’s on the agenda of the left with this.

The crazy videos that have been posted by people, including teachers of young children, have been troubling, eye-opening, and reveal the nature of the problem — from a teacher who would tell students that she’s a gender-fluid witch to a teacher who tells students that when people are born, doctors “guess” whether they are boys or girls and sometimes they make mistakes.

Disney then came out against this law and effectively against parents. But even Florida Democratic voters were for the law, as we reported, 52 to 36 percent. Not surprisingly, most parents don’t want their kids being taught about sex at such a young age. That didn’t deter Disney heir Abigail Disney from making a wild rant against the law and people on the “right,” which didn’t help Disney’s case. Then the great-grandnephew of Walt Disney, Roy P. Disney announced that his child, Charlee Disney, was transgender and said they would be trying to fight the law and stop states from passing similar laws in the future. Charlee Disney is a high school biology and environmental science teacher.

However, a new survey shows that almost seven of ten Americans reject the radical position being pushed by Disney.

The latest data said that 68.2% of voters are now “less likely to do business with Disney.” Of those, 57.2% are “much less likely” to buy from the entertainment giant known for its kid-friendly parks and movies.

What’s more, 69% said that they are likely to “support family-friendly alternatives to Disney.”

The survey, from Convention of States Action in partnership with The Trafalgar Group, also found that concerns about Disney’s plan to create related content are bipartisan, with 48.2% of Democrats also saying they are less likely to “do business” with Disney.

The poll follows several reports that Disney is open to exploring sexual issues and LGBTQ characters in its products.

It’s not hard to see why Americans — particularly parents — would be rejecting Disney if they have an issue with this law. They’re seriously hurting the brand that they have put out there for decades with this radical approach. But it shows how radical they’ve become when it’s more important to push that agenda than to pay attention to the concerns of the parents who are their bread and butter. It’s been a long time coming, but parents are giving Disney a big message. Will they take it or suffer the consequences?
