Justin Trudeau has a highly inflated opinion of himself, without cause.
But he’s about to get ripped apart on Monday in the vote on the Emergencies Act, and over the horrible actions of both his government and the actions of police in Ottawa here, here , and here. The evisceration which is coming will all be richly and justifiably deserved.
Trudeau has falsely attacked and demonized the Freedom Convoy, in much the same way that Joe Biden has demonized the unvaccinated. Then with triggering of the Emergencies Act, Trudeau has even taken away their ability to peacefully object to his tyrannical mandates, and penalized them for daring to do so by going after their bank accounts.
But someone who comes from a country that knows something about Communist dictatorships, Romanian Member of the European Parliament Cristian Terhes, had a few things to say about Trudeau and his crackdown on the Freedom Convoy.

“What made us strong – and I’m talking about the Western world – were the values,” Terhes declared. “The respect for basic fundamental rights. The understanding that the government is there to serve you as a person, not for you to serve the government. The prime minister of Canada, the way he’s behaving right now – he’s exactly like a tyrant, like a dictator. He’s like Ceaușescu in Romania,” Terheș said during a speech to European Parliament in Brussels. “If you raise doubts about the vaccines, you’re outcasted. What’s the difference between what he does and what happened under The Inquisition?”
Ceaușescu was a communist Romanian politician and dictator.
“On one side they say well we should not believe in God,” Terhes continued. “But on the other, they say ‘believe in science. We don’t have to. Science is not about belief. Science is about measurements, conclusions, hypothesis, and arguments.”
Labeling dissenters is not okay, he said. Terhes explained he is supportive of the Freedom Convoy movement, even indicating he had contacted them to convey that. He continued:
“I hope this movement for freedom and for rights is spreading all around the world. Because at the end of the day, we have to make sure that all these elected officials understand that they were elected into those offices to work for the people. Not to behave like masters of slaves.”
My gosh, I hadn’t heard of this guy before today, but what a beautiful, simple declarative statement about the dangers of where we are at right now, and why this movement in Canada is so important — not just for them but for the movement for freedom and individual rights all around the world. This is how all politicians should understand their duty to us. This is why what’s happening in Canada is so inspiring to everyone, and why it’s spreading around the world. This is also why Trudeau and the rest are so anxious to put such a movement down. The belief in individual rights is a dangerous thing to any government that wants to control you.
