Super Bowl Mask Hypocrisy Was on Bold Display While Kids in School Still Have to Suffer

There were over 70,000 at the Super Bowl on Sunday and the stadium said they would be requiring them to wear masks in the stadium, regardless of vaccination status, for everyone over two years old. They were even handing out N95 masks to people when they came in to encourage people to wear them.

There were Democratic politicians, as I noted earlier, including Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, holding his breath again, and Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval.

This isn’t the first time that Garcetti got nailed maskless at the SoFi.

But if you looked at the stadium, it seemed like virtually no one was wearing a mask, in particular celebrities, including LeBron James, Mark Wahlberg, Sean Penn, Magic Johnson, and Matt Damon.

Here’s another that also has Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, and Ben Affleck.

A lot of often-pontificating liberal celebrities there.

Kanye West was one of the few to wear a mask, although I’m not sure what kind of a mask that was, covering his whole head and had holes in it.

Even the Commissioner, Roger Goodell, didn’t have a mask despite the local mandate and the stadium “rule.” Some adherence to the “rules” by the Commissioner.

There was one group that seemed to have been held to the wearing of masks: the kids of the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra, even though they were outdoors outside the stadium when they were performing and even though most inside the stadium were not being held to the rule.

Outkick’s Clay Travis also observed, “I spent a week in LA & was asked for proof of vaccination once. No one wore a mask indoors anywhere I went. Either LA ended essentially all restrictions for the Super Bowl or covid is miraculously over in LA. If I had kids forced to wear masks in school, I’d be beyond furious.”

That’s exactly the point here. Virtually no one there was wearing a mask. But then kids are all going back to school and being told now they have to wear one all day long and even outdoors. What’s going on when you have such conflicting madness? There’s even word that the indoor requirement might be eased for indoor public locations this week and it seems pretty dead given the Super Bowl. But still no word on the schools, when the children are the least at risk.

So what’s the justification for this conflict? Mask mandates in schools are dropping all over the country. How does this make any sense at all? Unless you just want to torture kids longer than other people.
