Elon Musk is the richest man in the world and was just named Time’s “Person of the Year.”
But it’s pretty clear that he’s not a compliant woke liberal. Indeed, he’s angered many on the left because he does in fact challenge their orthodoxies. Musk has not only stood up against the targeting of the rich by people like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), but he’s also stood up against lockdown orders over COVID, calling them “fascist.”
However, Musk is likely to drive them into even more of a meltdown with what he just did. He gave the Babylon Bee, the satire website, a long interview and there are some golden nuggets in there that are guaranteed to drive the left crazy. Of course, just doing the interview would be enough.
When they were joking about pointless companies that “shouldn’t exist,” co-owner Kyle Mann teased him by saying, “You can be on CNN right now.”
“I’m not perverted enough, I guess,” Musk replied. He has such comedic delivery.

That was about CNN’s current scandals, as well as the Babylon Bee’s headlines referencing those scandals: “CNN Quietly Resets ‘Days Since An Employee Committed A Sex Crime’ Counter Back To Zero,” and “CNN HR Department Considers Adding ‘Are You A Creepy Pervert?’ To Employment Application.” Musk made it clear by the comment that he was a reader of their site.
In addition to CNN firing Chris Cuomo for helping his brother with his sexual harassment allegations, Chris Cuomo himself was accused — again — of sexual harassment. CNN anchor Don Lemon has been accused of a sexual offense against a man in a bar which he is currently being sued over. CNN also had one of their producers arrested for sexual assault involving children as young as nine years old, and there was another separate accusation of a second employee involved in perverse activity aimed at kids.
That wasn’t all. Musk also took on and skewered wokeness, saying that the “woke mind virus” was “arguably one of the biggest threats to modern civilization.” He gets it.

“Wokeness basically wants to make comedy illegal, which is not cool. Trying to shut down Chappelle, come on man, that’s crazy. Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation, and hate?”
He continued, “At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people a shield to be cruel, armored in false virtue.”
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a better definition both of what wokeness is and how at its core, it cuts the heart out of society. It’s an effort at control but it has no soul; it kills any real comedy. That’s why things like “SNL” are no longer as funny as they were, since they toe the line of wokeness.
Musk also further skewered Warren for calling him a grifter.
.@elonmusk On Twitter Battle With Senator Warren
"She called me a grifter & a free-loader who doesn't pay taxes basically & I'm literally paying the most tax that any individual in history has ever paid this year, ever. And she doesn't pay taxes basically at all." @TheBabylonBee pic.twitter.com/jQZzvhBVRr

“She struck first. Yes, she did actually call me a freeloader and a grifter who doesn’t pay taxes. I’m literally paying the most tax that any individual in history has ever paid this year, ever, and she doesn’t pay taxes, basically. And her taxes and salary is paid for by the taxpayer like me. If you could die by irony, she would be dead,” Musk said.
It’s always refreshing to see someone with such a high profile as Musk speaking out against the mania. He’s in a position where he is just not afraid to say what he thinks, and he doesn’t care about what they might say in response. And that’s what we need more of, whether we agree with everything he might say or not. We should value and protect that freedom, and stand with those who support that freedom. And one of the best things about it is knowing the CNN folks are going to be seething in response.
