As we reported earlier, there was what appears, at this point, to be a horrible accident at a Florida Pride event with a pickup truck hitting multiple people and killing at least one at the event.
But it turns out that the driver of the pick-up truck was, according to reports, a member of the gay men’s chorus, was wearing one of their t-shirts and had a Pride flag on his truck. The Chorus confirmed that he was one of their members. The man is claiming it was an accident. That was known relatively early on after the incident last night.

But that didn’t stop people on the left and media, who were off to the races spreading lies about what had occurred.
Not only did they claim that it was a terrorist attack aimed at gay people, but they also claimed that it was an assassination attempt against Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), again without any evidence at all.
2 hit by truck that was aiming for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s car, in person is dead. “This is a terrorist attack against the LGBT community…deliberate, it was premeditated, and it was targeted against a specific person,” say authorities.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) was the apparent target of an assassination attempt by a man who ran his truck through a Pride Parade in Florida.https://t.co/T4RC3mEwfh via @politicususa

That didn’t stop them from completely making something up. They relied on what the Mayor said, which was also false and without evidence.
BREAKING: At least 2 people have been hit by a truck at the beginning of the @WiltonManorsCty #Pride parade. @delarosaWPLG was only yards away at the time. He spoke with @DeanTrantalis. @WPLGLocal10 pic.twitter.com/CRRmGz0a12

“This is a terrorist attack against the LGBT community,” Trantalis said. “This is exactly what it is. Hardly an accident. It was deliberate, it was premeditated, and it was targeted against a specific person. Luckily, they missed that person, but unfortunately, they hit two other people.”
Even this morning, people are still spreading “DeathSantis,” blaming Gov. Ron DeSantis for his anti-riot bill to protect drivers against protesters blocking the streets which has nothing at all to do with this incident.
Ron DeSantis needs to go and Nikki Fried is the person who will do it in 2022. How many people need to die under #DeathSantis?

Some in media are still not including the evidence that it was an accident in their tweets and titles,

This, from The Hill this morning at 9:21 a.m. Central, after the facts were well known, is completely unconscionable. We’ve known since last night that this isn’t the case. Talk about fake news and trying to hype for clicks — this is it. This is completely irresponsible and now spreading even more nonsense to thousands more.

So here’s actual fake news, Twitter. Will you be taking down all the tweets that are spreading stuff like this to pitch division? Unfortunately, we already know the answer to this one, and it’s not going to happen any time soon.
