The left has been losing their minds at Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) for standing in the way of their power grab and not wanting to blow up the Senate by doing away with the filibuster. Manchin has repeatedly said he will not be coerced into destroying the Senate in that way.
But yesterday, the left went completely over the slide when it appeared that they also might have trouble with another senator: Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). Feinstein said she didn’t see them abolishing it.
Asked Feinstein if a 1/6 filibuster would motivate her to abolish the rule:
"I don't see us abolishing the 60-vote threshold. I don't."
Would she vote to nix?
"This is the first time I've heard it. No one has proposed it. No one has talked to me about it. So it's a non-issue."

“I don’t see us abolishing the 60-vote threshold. I don’t.” Asked if she would vote to do away with it, she said, “This is the first time I’ve heard it. No one has proposed it. No one has talked to me about it. So it’s a non-issue.”
The Democratic anger in response to that was glorious to behold.
The left, including some of the same people that completely turn a blind eye to Joe Biden’s babbling incompetence and pretend that old Grandpa Disaster is just fine, went after Feinstein with the hook, basically calling her senile.
Feinstein is either a straight-up liar or has memory impairment that disqualifies her for her position. The filibuster is one of the most debated topics in the Senate and its abolishment was proposed repeatedly. https://t.co/uH9r4yzfL6

Feinstein saying that this is the "first time" she's heard about eliminating the filibster and that "no one has proposed it" is a 5-alarm fire that she needs to retire. Just beyond comprehension. https://t.co/78NycBPbL3

So was it Feinstein's staff who put out a statement in March (!) saying she was open to changing the filibuster? Does she even know her own positions on key issues? Ridiculousness upon ridiculousness.
The senior Democratic senator from America's most populous state. 🤦🏽♂️ https://t.co/Gzj1qnbCvu

Bottom line? Her office did put out a prior statement suggesting that she would be in favor of “reforming” it.
“There are many significant issues Congress needs to address. Just this week we saw a union of gun violence, violence against women and hate crimes in the tragic shootings in Atlanta.
“I have tried for years to pass legislation in these areas. This month the House passed bills to improve background checks for gun purchases and reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act, among other key legislation.
Ideally the Senate can reach bipartisan agreement on those issues, as well as on a voting rights bill. But if that proves impossible and Republicans continue to abuse the filibuster by requiring cloture votes, I’m open to changing the way the Senate filibuster rules are used.
“President Biden this week suggested returning to a talking filibuster so opponents of a bill must speak on the Senate floor and explain their opposition. That is an idea worth discussing. I don’t want to turn away from Senate traditions, but I also don’t believe one party should be able to prevent votes on important bills by abusing the filibuster.”
But that doesn’t actually say she would agree to eliminate it completely.
Additionally, what she could be saying is that the question hasn’t formally come to the floor and she recognizes it would be dead if it did, because the support isn’t there.
So this certainly throws another wrench into their effort to eliminate the filibuster and we’ll have to see where she ultimately comes down.
But one more roadblock in the Democrats’ power grab is a great thing to see.
