As we reported yesterday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who is also a doctor, let Dr. Anthony Fauci have it during testimony, claiming that wearing a mask after being vaccinated was “theater.”
But then CNN came to Fauci’s defense in a segment with Jake Tapper and their ‘medical analyst’ Sanjay Gupta, with Gupta trying to say why you should still wear a mask despite being vaccinated.
Here’s CNN’s @drsanjaygupta trying to defend Fauci saying we should wear masks after being vaccinated: “The virus learns how to, sort of, adapt and mutate now to a vaccinated person. Exposing vaccinated people to the virus, you could start to inspire more and more mutations” pic.twitter.com/rDwZUgE2li

It’s hard to believe he’s a doctor, because nothing Gupta is saying there is reality.
Yes, viruses mutate, but he’s suggesting that being vaccinated, then being exposed to it while not wearing a mask precipitates more mutations. This is just flat-out crackers. Not to mention that Gupta appears to be making an argument against the value of vaccination with all this. This really is not encouraging people who want to return to normal to get vaccinated.
Maybe Sanjay needs to listen to Fauci himself? Fauci explains if you vaccinate you are cutting the ability to replicate down.
“You need to get vaccinated when it becomes available as quickly and as expeditiously as possible,” Fauci, President Biden’s chief medical adviser, said during a virtual press briefing of the White House COVID-19 response team. “And the reason for that is … viruses cannot mutate if they don’t replicate. And if you stop their replication by vaccinating widely and not giving the virus an open playing field to continue to respond to the pressures that you put on it, you will not get mutations.
So how is CNN helping anything with this kind of nonsense that isn’t reality and which actually makes people less inclined to get vaccinated?
I still can't believe he said this.
Sanjay Gupta: Getting vaccinated could lead to more variants of the virus, you know https://t.co/4CgAOAWYG3

😂😂😂 Sanjay doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Not even a tiny bit. That’s not how vaccines work & that’s not how mutations work.
Further, he’s basically saying the vaccines are worthless and do not work. That’s HIGHLY irresponsible & unprofessional.

Not sure how accurate that is but exposing people to @CNN narrative based programming leads to more mutations of scientific thought.

If they were intentionally trying to undermine public confidence in the COVID vaccines, what exactly would they be doing differently?
