Tucker Carlson: Media Protected Both the Lincoln Project and Andrew Cuomo

One of the best things that Fox has on their network is Tucker Carlson.

Because while he may not always hit it, he’s not afraid of going after the Democrats and calling them out on their nonsense or calling the media out on their complicity with the Democrats.

Carlson definitely hit it out of the park in calling out the media on the failure to not really question New York Governor Andrew Cuomo or the Lincoln Project folks until now because they served the agenda that the Democrats were trying to push.

But now this week, Cuomo and the Lincoln Project are finally both imploding, he said.

Carlson celebrated that it was ironically on Abraham Lincoln’s birthday that the group “who stole his name finally collapsed. He went on to detail what a nasty and vile operation they are.

From Fox News:

Rather than argue against what Donald Trump might be doing or not doing, the Lincoln Project instead threatened his attorneys and spread filth about his aides. In January, for example, one Lincoln Project executive bragged: “We are constructing a database of Trump officials and staff that will detail their roles in the Trump administration & track where they are now … They will be held accountable.” It always sounded a little more like MS-13 than a political operation.

Carlson detailed the irony now that the FBI was reportedly looking into the allegations against John Weaver, one of the co-founders of the Lincoln Project, who had worked for both John McCain and John Kasich in the past. Weaver has now been alleged to have harassed a slew of young men. At least one of his conversations allegedly involved a 14 year old boy.

Carlson says that there had been rumors for years about Weaver’s behavior, that even Karl Rove tried to raise it years ago but was attacked by The Atlantic and accused of lying. Carlson claimed the group had reason to know.

Carlson then hit on the group’s financials, some of which my colleague Jen Van Laar has detailed here and here.
But we’re finding out now, because Trump is no longer in office, so the group has served its purpose, Carlson said.

Carlson also pointed out the other implosion this week, that of New York’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who Democrats, even Joe Biden had touted as doing a bang-up job in dealing with the virus, despite New York having more deaths than any other state in the country.

But of course, this week, the cover-up in the numbers of deaths related to nursing homes blew up when an aide admitted they didn’t hand over information to the state legislature on such deaths because they were trying to avoid potential federal prosecution. She had the utter gall to try to blame President Donald Trump.

Then, she worried, Trump “directs the Department of Justice to do an investigation into us. And basically, we froze, because we were in a position where we weren’t sure if what we were going to give to the Department of Justice or what we gave to you guys, what we start saying, was going to be used against us while we weren’t sure if there was going to be an investigation. That played a very large role in this.”

As we noted it was even worse then that because they changed the way they counted “nursing home deaths” in May after Cuomo came under fire for his March 25th order.

But we only have the real figures now because Cuomo was forced to release the data he had been withholding and because the AG did an investigation into it, not because of Cuomo or the mainstream media.

The media has a lot to answer for in both cases.
