We’ve written about the hypocrisy of the Democrats for attacking Republicans who have said they will object to the electoral count on Jan. 6.
As we observed, Democrats have voiced objections to the count against the three last Republican presidents. Of course, when they did it it was ‘protecting Democracy.’ Now that the Republicans are raising objections, suddenly, doing so is ‘sedition’ and ‘treason’ to the Democrats.
So I thought we should have a look at the actual videos of the Democrats raising objections, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca), so we can see, in the flesh, how deceitful they are.
In this video, first you hear House members objecting in 2001 to counting Florida, but they have no Senator to join in their objections so they’re not able to cut off the vote or have further discussion on the issue. That doesn’t stop them from trying. Then you hear objections to the 2004 election to counting Ohio when they do have a Senator joining, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA), claiming there are “irregularities across the country” and “we have an obligation as a Congress to stand up and correct them.”

How impassioned Boxer was that this was about “fixing Democracy” — that was what it was all about.
Then, of course, there was the effort against Donald Trump. Remember how first they tried several efforts to suborn the electors? Electors were even threatened. Remember how 71 of them refused to go to the inauguration, claiming President Donald Trump was not the legitimately elected president?
Here are 7 members “courageously” objecting based on “racist voter suppression policies and Russian election tampering.” (Keep in mind none of that is reality, there was no such suppression and no “Russian election tampering” in the vote, per Barack Obama himself).

They objected to North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. They were obviously trying to incapacitate swing states. This is different from now, how? Well, the difference of course is there are real issues now; there weren’t then. They were also propagating the Russia collusion hoax. But the breadth of the objection is the same — they just didn’t have a Senator on board with their effort because there wasn’t any merit to their arguments.
Here’s Pelosi herself, objecting to the 2004 count, as Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL) points out.
With her objection to Ohio’s electors Pelosi said, "We're witnessing democracy at work. We're standing up for three fundamental beliefs. The right to vote is sacred; a representative has a duty to represent his or her constituents & the rule of law is the hallmark of our nation."

When Pelosi called on Congress to protect the sanctity of the vote in 2005, there was NO media outcry.
But today, Republicans are “dangerous” for making the same argument?
It’s clear Dems & media don’t care about their own double standards when it serves their political goals. pic.twitter.com/VKNRjTq2Ni

Waltz also pointed out the further hypocrisy of two of the Democrats who had previously objected but were now attacking Republicans.
.@RepDonBeyer objected to the 2016 election & propagated Russian collusion lies.
But now that Republicans are fighting for the sanctity of the vote, he's calling it "an assault on our democracy."
Talk about a double standard…https://t.co/ch7iQU4y59

Exactly. If they didn’t have double standards, they’d have no standards at all.
