The Trump campaign filed a new lawsuit in Georgia on Friday evening, seeking to hold another election or allow the state legislature to choose the state’s electors, based on allegations of fraud and voter irregularities.

David Shafer, who is the chair of the Georgia Republican Party as well as an elector for President Donald Trump, has also joined the suit.

The suit alleges that there are tens of thousands of illegal votes cast and included in the totals and that because of the fraud, it’s impossible to know the actual outcome of the race.

From Daily Wire:

Attached to the complaint are sworn affidavits from dozens of Georgia residents swearing under penalty of perjury to what they witnessed during the election: failure to process and secure the ballots, failure to verify the signatures on absentee ballots, the appearance of mysterious “pristine” absentee ballots not received in official absentee ballot envelopes that were voted almost solely for Joe Biden, failure to allow poll watchers meaningful access to observe the election, among other violations of law.

Data experts also provided sworn testimony in the lawsuit identifying thousands of illegal votes: 2,560 felons; 66,247 underage voters, 2,423 votes from people not registered; 1,043 individuals registered at post office boxes; 4,926 individuals who voted in Georgia after registering in another state; 395 individuals who voted in two states; 15,700 votes from people who moved out of state before the election; 40,279 votes of people who moved without re-registering in their new county; and another 30,000 to 40,000 absentee ballots lacking proper signature matching and verification.

As we reported there was also a lot of outcry when officials had poll watchers leave the counting area around 10:30 on Election Night but then they continued to count without the party poll watchers there to observe. The election officials claim they did not tell the watchers to leave, the watchers say they did. But what is clear is the election officials continued without being observed by in-person monitors for at least part of the night.

Jenna Ellis, one of Trump’s attorneys, asserted that this just happened to be around the same time on Election Night there was a huge spike in the count for Biden.

Former NYC police commissioner Bernard Kerik also echoed that claim.

Election officials have said that nothing untoward went on during the period and that it was all just normal process.

While the election officials are saying now that they never told the poll watchers to leave or that they were going to stop counting, the poll watchers believed they were told that and left. They signed sworn affidavits saying they were told that and they left because they believed the counting was going to stop.

So here’s the thing, Georgia election officials, You can even see the news reports from Election Night and where it was even reported that they announced they were going to stop counting at 10:30 p.m. as The Week reports on the night of Nov. 3.

It’s bedtime in Georgia! In Fulton County — the state’s most populous county, which includes Atlanta — officials said they would stop counting mail-in ballots at 10:30 p.m., with the plan of resuming in the morning, NBC News reports. Hey, that’s fine, it’s not like we’re in the middle of an incredibly contentious election or anything!

Whoops. So obviously the news was told the same thing that the poll watchers were. Yet the counting went on. What gives?
