James O'Keefe Catches CNN Execs on Tape Talking About Burying Hunter Biden Story

Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe has been dropping recordings of CNN head Jeff Zucker’s morning conference calls with his CNN staff, recordings that were made within the last two months.

We reported on the opening salvo here as well as how Chris Cillizza tried to justify Zucker’s comments calling them normal editorial comment.

But I’m guessing that Cillizza hadn’t heard the latest video before he made that comment. The others were bad enough.

But now Project Veritas has the smoking gun, that CNN staff was told specifically not to cover the scandal that implicated Joe Biden and his son in an influence-peddling scheme when the NY Post dropped it in the final weeks before the election.

On October 14, the New York Post dropped the story showing that a Burisma executive was thanking Hunter Biden for arranging a meeting with his father, Joe Biden. Project Veritas’ tape shows the reaction by the CNN executives that they would not cover the story.

From Daily Wire:

“Obviously, we’re not going with the New York Post story right now on Hunter Biden and, which seems to be giving its marching orders to Fox News and the right-wing echo chamber about what to talk about today,” CNN political director David Chalian said. “Obviously, Hunter Biden’s lawyer is quoted in that New York Post piece, and we’ll just continue to report out this is the very stuff that the president was impeached over. This is the stuff that Senate committees looked at and found nothing wrong in — Joe Biden’s interactions with Ukrainians — and, now having an email that, perhaps there was a meeting with someone from Burisma is, it seems, Rudy Giuliani’s sort of ‘dream-a-vision’ of how to throw stuff at the wall in these closing days of the campaign.”

“Hey, Jeff, it’s just David on the Burisma story, and we should be awfully careful about that obviously, but I do think there’s a media story,” CNN Executive VP David Vigilante said. “What in the world are Maggie Haberman and Jake Sherman doing retweeting that story?”

So not only are they saying they wouldn’t cover it, but they’re also talking about how they’ll try to spin the scandal, to make it about Trump rather than about Biden and how there’s a “media story,” how dare the New York Times Maggie Haberman and Politico’s Jake Sherman actually retweet this news.

In fact, it was new and very important news showing that Biden had allegedly met with the Burisma executive, blowing apart Biden’s claims that he knew nothing about his son’s business dealings and showing exactly how they were trying to manipulate that relationship to help the company when Joe Biden was Vice President.

As the NY Post observes, what made the story all the more compelling was that Biden initially refused to deny the meeting. Then ultimately admitted that it could have occurred informally. That of course is big news. Except if you are “media” but really operating to help the Democratic candidate.

Sherman was then chastised into withdrawing his retweet of the news and he even apologized for what he did, a shocking effort to silence media for actually acting like journalists.

The following week, Hunter’s ex-business partner Tony Bobulinksi held a press conference and produced documents claiming Joe Biden had actively engaged in his family scheme to make millions of dollars from Communist China. He revealed that Joe Biden was the “big guy” referred to in a Hunter email who was to receive a 10 percent cut of one of the Chinese deals.

Here was further evidence that Joe had been lying about his involvement in his family’s shady business.

That of course would have demanded a response from journalists as here was really big news. But CNN still said no.

“I do think, on the Breitbart, New York Post, Fox News rabbit hole of Hunter Biden, which I don’t think anybody outside of that world understood last night,” Zucker said. “The Wall Street Journal reported that their review of all corporate records showed no role for Joe Biden on the Chinese deal. And yes, I do put more credibility in The Wall Street Journal than I do in the New York Post.”

The New York Post explains how the WSJ’s not finding corporate records linked to Joe Biden doesn’t mean much, especially since his role and percentage was allegedly supposed to be kept quiet. But it was used as an excuse to cashier the story and bury it.

As we reported, this succeeded. They buried the story and it had an affect.

Even more Biden voters (45.1%) said they were unaware of the financial scandal enveloping Biden and his son, Hunter (a story infamously censored by Twitter and Facebook, as well as ignored by the liberal media). According to our poll, full awareness of the Hunter Biden scandal would have led 9.4% of Biden voters to abandon the Democratic candidate, flipping all six of the swing states he won to Trump, giving the President 311 electoral votes.

But even more than that, there’s a big piece that’s been missed in the coverage that even many conservative outlets didn’t cover.

Int the ongoing Senate into Hunter Biden’s dealings, the Senate identified that $6 million transferred from a Communist Chinese government entity to a business associate of Hunter. That’s more than a little trouble, particularly if Joe Biden ultimately becomes president. That’s huge news.

But CNN and the others not only sat on it, they did everything they could to kill it. And the tape proves it.
