As we have previously reported, MSNBC has been consciously trying to avoid calling the riots over the death of George Floyd “riots.”
They’ve used all kinds of other terms.
As rioters were setting a fire right behind Ali Velshi, he claimed they were “mostly protests,” not generally speaking “unruly.”
MSNBC reporter just now: "I want to be clear on how I characterize this. This is mostly a protest. It is not generally speaking unruly."

But they aren’t the only folks trying to avoid the word.
CNN was also doing it, still calling the rioters protesters, even as they attacked CNN headquarters in Atlanta.

But as Miguel Marquez was following a line of protest cars in Minnesota that he described as “entirely peaceful,” it became very clear that wasn’t true as people threw things at him at least twice, including a bottle, during the report. He then admitted that had been happening from the “entirely peaceful” people who also cursed him out.
A CNN anchor just said on live TV that the riots in MN were "entirely peaceful" and a "merry caravan" and then seconds later someone throws a bottle directly at him.

He almost apologizes for having to report it, it blows the narrative. He even says they threw things at us, “but not in a mean way.” Yeah, throwing bottles at you, yelling “F–k CNN” is just being pleasant, “entirely peaceful.” We are through the looking glass here with CNN trying to control the narrative.
But meanwhile actual peaceful non-violent lockdown protesters are “armed extremists” who want to kill Grandma. But there hasn’t been one concern leveled about any of these folks not adhering to social distancing or wearing masks.
Even folks on the left don’t like CNN and know they’re full of it. Killer Mike called them out during his speech on Friday night when he urged people to stop rioting and damaging things, as we reported last night.
@donlemon Listen to what this guy says !!

“So after you burn down your own home, what do you have left, but char and ash,” he said.
Then he spoke about rioters attacking CNN.
“I love CNN… but I gotta say to CNN right now: Karma’s a mother. Stop feeding fear and anger every day. Stop making people feel so fearful and give them hope,” Killer Mike said.
