Over the past week, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has said a lot of bad things.
He’s said you can’t be black if you don’t vote for him. He later apologized for being “cavalier.”
He’s said that everyone in jail has three things in common – they were abused (or their mothers were abused), they can’t read and they have no skills.
He’s lied and said that the NAACP endorsed him every time he ran. In fact, they never endorse anyone for any political office.
He made his “you ain’t back” comment worse by blaming the interviewer, Charlamagne tha God, for it, claiming Charlamagne was being a “wise guy.”
He admitted he was hiding out in his basement and that “it’s working pretty well.”
Now he’s just added another pretty bad comment to it all and he doesn’t even understand why it’s so bad.
Last year California passed #AB5, affording gig workers protections and benefits like a minimum wage and overtime pay.
Now, gig economy giants are trying to gut the law and exempt their workers. It's unacceptable.
I urge Californians to vote no on the initiative this November.

“Last year California passed #AB5, affording gig workers protections and benefits like a minimum wage and overtime pay,” Biden intoned. “Now, gig economy giants are trying to gut the law and exempt their workers. It’s unacceptable. I urge Californians to vote no on the initiative this November.”
He either doesn’t know or doesn’t care how this law has decimated freelancers in California, eliminating thousands of jobs and destroying industries in a state full of freelancers. All the musicians, writers, independent contractors of every sort have been up in arms since this went into effect. Many of those folks were Democrats and may never vote Democrat again. Scroll through the responses to Biden’s tweet as he is assailed by people, some nicer than others explaining how awful this has been and how he doesn’t get it.
California lifelong democrat and independent contractor voting Republican this election. #RepealAB5

For this single reason you will not get my vote. This law has RUINED lives and livelihoods. No one wants it. No one supports it.

AB5 has destroyed the livelihood of hundreds of thousands of Independent Contractors. It protects a very few and hurts over 300 occupations that work on contract. We are not all “gig workers” We have real businesses. If you support AB5 you will lose the votes of A LOT of CA Dems

Dems were jumping ship over #AB5 already. Check @MikeGarcia2020 ‘s surprise victory in #CA25. ATTN @JoeBiden: 2M or more #freelancers in CA who like being their OWN BOSS will not support anyone who supports #AB5 or #PROAct. #RepealAB5 NO #PROAct pic.twitter.com/mTWNzjtxNm

But let’s hear California state Assemblyman Kevin Kiley tell Monica’s AB5 story.
On the Floor of the State Assembly, I shared Monica's #AB5 Story. pic.twitter.com/enAjHBBr28
— Kevin Kiley (@KevinKileyCA) May 27, 2020
But Democrats don’t care about Monica’s story (the bill’s author, Lorena Gonzalez, can be seen behind and to the left of Kiley playing with her phone the whole time) or that of the thousands of others thrown out of work. They would like to make this the law of the land and throw millions more out of work. This on top of millions who have already lost their jobs because of the pandemic and lockdown orders. This law has united people of all political stripes against it.
.@joeBiden's labor plan for America currently includes making California's AB5 the law of the entire country. This will KILL the freelance economy. It will KILL jobs. Get off this kick. It’s BAD news. Not earning votes this way. https://t.co/sx2N6Tpqrx

There are a lot of reasons not to vote for Joe Biden. But this would be sufficient all on its own to prevent the utter disaster that would result.
