Rep. Ilhan Omar definitely has an interesting personal life.
It’s definitely soap opera material, from being accused of marrying her brother to allegedly having an affair with one of her political operatives whose wife then tattled on the affair in their divorce proceedings.
If you’ve lost track, she originally married Ahmed Hirsi. She then married the man some have alleged is her brother. Then she married Hirsi again, who is the father of her children. She was married to him when she was alleged to have had an affair with her political consultant, Tim Mynett. Mynett’s wife claimed they were having an affair in divorce proceedings against her husband. Omar then also got divorced from Hirsi.
Omar posted a picture and announced the event on Instagram.

“Got married! From partners in politics to life partners, so blessed. Alhamdulillah.”
WaPo in Oct. 2019: “According to Washington Post reporting based on federal campaign finance records, Omar’s campaign paid Timothy Mynett $7,000 in July 2019 and E Street Group, the firm he owns, more than $220,000 in 2018 and 2019 for fundraising consulting and other services.”

From denying being romantically involved with anyone just seven months ago, to married now, this announcement is going to rightfully raise more questions: https://t.co/CNGwgLHnOr

You can say that again.
Beth Mynett alleged in court papers that her husband’s traveling and work hours may have been “more related to his affair with Omar than to his actual work commitments,” FOX 9 of Minneapolis-St. Paul reported.
