It’s always a wonder to hear Democrats speak against guns.

Because as they rail and try to curtail your rights, they always manage to reveal how little they know about what they are talking.

Case in point: John Kerry.

Kerry was in Iowa pimping for Joe Biden before the caucuses on Monday. He claimed Biden had achieved things on gun control. Kerry then claimed that he was a “gun owner, hunter, been one all my life.” But then he opened mouth and inserted foot.

“There’s not a veteran here who would take an AR-16 with a long clip to go out and shoot a deer or shoot anything,” Kerry said. There is no business, Joe led the fight to get those things off the street. And now we have a crowd who’s willing to bring them back. And we saw what happened in Las Vegas and other places. We need a Joe Biden with the guts and the courage and the savvy to be able to do something about that’s reasonable about guns in our country.”

He really is acting in the stead of Joe Biden, even down to the gaffes.

Technically, he’s right, no one would because no one has an AR-16. He’s obviously referring to an AR-15 and a magazine, not a clip. While people can confuse the terms, don’t pretend to be an expert and someone who knows what’s what if you really don’t.

Then this crazy demonizing that they do with AR-15s.

“Now we have a crowd who’s willing to bring them back.” Um, no, they’ve been “back” for quite some time, nothing to do with President Donald Trump or whatever “crowd” he’s talking about. If he’s referring to the assault weapons ban that was up in 2004. Is he doing another Biden, not knowing what year he’s in?

Yes, some hunters use AR-15s. Maybe even some of the guys sitting behind Kerry who were giving him funny looks at that point. But beyond that, it isn’t about hunting. It’s about the Second Amendment that shall not be abridged just because Joe Biden thinks we all should use shotguns and fire blasts through the door.

Meanwhile John Kerry has also found himself in controversy when NBC reported one of their analysts overheard Kerry having a conversation about what he’d have to do to run in 2020 because they were so concerned about Bernie. Kerry denied it but that late report can’t be helpful for Biden.
