I am assuming, of course, that President Barack Obama will be using the recent terrorist attack in San Bernardino as an excuse to push his party’s draconian gun control agenda.  As long as it’s just Obama’s ego writing checks that his body can’t cash again, that’s… whatever. Fine. He can play to the Democratic base all he likes.

However, it’s entirely possible that Barack Obama might in fact decide to do something STUPID, like act as if an amendment to the Constitution can be amended by Executive Order.  Should that happen, I would like to remind any and all federal officials that might be tasked with implementing a hypothetical Executive Order of the following three things:

1. Barack Obama will be leaving office on January 20, 2017.  That’s a bit less than thirteen months from now. Trust me: we’re all counting the days.
2. There are going to be numerous state and local governments who will immediately sabotage any kind of confiscation scheme, quote-unquote ‘registration system,’ and-or ‘national database.’  And by that I mean that people will literally stick their shoes into the mechanisms if they think that it will help.  Funny thing about that, too: there are quite a lot of states where that’s an effective promise.
3. IF YOU ARE READING THIS, YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN A PARDON FOR ANY CRIMINAL ACTS YOU COMMIT AT BARACK OBAMA’S BEQUEST.  In fact, I don’t really expect Barack Obama to hand out very many pardons at all at the end of his term. What does he care?  After him, the deluge.  All of which means that the legality of your actions will most likely be judged by a bunch of people who are going to be infuriated that you conspired to take away a fundamental American civil right.  They can’t put Barack Obama in jail for that.  They can, however, jail you.
