Thank God it’s Friday!  Good morning RedStaters, and welcome to Friday’s Open Thread.

Post-America?

Have you gotten jaded to living in a post-American USA?  Have your friends, your family, your coworkers?  I’m not asking if you provide aid and comfort to HillaryKamalaWarrenSanders, I’m asking if you really get off your butt, and invest of your Time, Talent, Treasure, and/or Testimony to support Big-A America?  Our Journey, our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, our Freedoms, our Responsibilities – the vision of our country’s founders.  Because “not providing aid and comfort” to those who don’t value or want Big-A America is NOT THE SAME as joining the fight and taking it to the enemy.

It’s 2018.  A “Mid-year Election” on the national stage.  I don’t know what’s on the your local ballot this year, but I know your ballot will include a US Representative.  On my ballot I will have many other offices up for grabs, and issues to decide.  Will there be a blue wave?  It’s up to us.

Will you do your part?  Yes, you need to vote (American)*.  But that’s not enough.  You need to invest of your Time, Talent, Treasure, and Testimony.  Because being American was never about letting you be a rich, free island, living off of the investments of others.  It was about creating a new and different country which would be the best place to live.  In the world.  Our founders nailed the vision, and did a better job of institutionalizing it than any people anywhere ever has.  But they couldn’t create a perpetual-freedom-machine that would function without continued infusion of energy and dedication to the same – and they knew it:

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

The hordes are in the gates.  They vote, and many of them are involved.  They certainly participate in the echo chamber, as what risk is there in that?  We need to care much more about preserving America than they do about their visions of nanny state and redistribution.  Our way will always be that of service and freedom, theirs will always draw all those who want to take rather than invest.
